Alright I'll take your word for it John, I guess it makes sense one way or another. Just don't wanna plan everything, start plumbing and then realize i did it wrong lol

Just make sure you don't tie the Gfo return into the return line to to DT. You will have pressure on both lines and the water won't move. So either open ended into the sump or open ended I to the DT, either way will work. :)

Looks brand new!

However I am a little worried, after cleaning up, I looked at the old stand and it was wet on one corner, nothing horrible, but wet. I'm thinking it was salt creep bc there's a ton of it. If I have to reseal this tank, how difficult or easy is it to do and is it a one man job?

Resell is a one man job unless you are separating the glass. Best bet is to dry everything and refill the tank and let it sit the 2 to 3 weeks while you wait for your stand and the move to the new crib. That will tell of the tank is water tight.

Hey dan when I picked it up from my end it was wet so was the stand I had the end with the bulk heads so I would bet that one of the bulk heads or a pluming issue was it just a thought

Two sayings come to mind:

You never know until you know and then it is too late.

You never know until you know and then you don't want to know.

Keep your chin up. Everything will work out!!

I know I'm just getting over paranoid, its probably fine considering he had the tank up and running a week or 2 before I picked it up. I just wanna be precautious lol

Got my bulkheads today, soaking up the overflow box in vinegar now :)
Also went to Austyns house tonight to get my ATO I traded a few frags for.

Anyone have a suggestion for cutting bulkheads back if they're too long? Like what should I use? PVC cutters? I don't wwanna mess up the threads

I would use a bam saw. Or a hack saw to do it. I'd be afraid that PVC cutters might bend it too much and crack

Is that saw also known as the Chef Emeril Lagasse saw….Bam! :p

I fully agree, either a "bam" saw or hack saw. You can cut it in place using one of these mini hack saws, flush to the nut:

Actually the plastic cuts so easily you could simply wrap some tape around the end of a hack saw blade and cut it that way.

Put the backing but on before cutting. When you take it off it should clean up the threads if they are a little messed up.
