Alright I got what you're saying. But that's IF they're leeching. I'm gonna stop the biopellets first and see what happens.
No the tank is brand new but it has all of the old sand, rocks and most of the water. Barely had a mini-cycle. This tank has been up for almost 4 monthsWait has your tank only been cycled for 2 months and you have that many fish? It sounds like your tank is trying to catch up with the bioload too.
Would I be able to use it in my Biopellet reactor? Its an aquamaxx XL reactor.Reactor
Well I shut off my BP reactor so I guess I'll see if there's a change tomorrow morning. Getting my water change ready for tomorrow so I can siphon out as much as possible. With regard to the reactor yes,
With regard to your test do it again to be sure the result is the same. If it is don't do anything, if it's different don't do anything until tomorrow
I'm going to test tomorrow morning. If it has a reading, I'll cut it in half and swap out the carbon for phosguard. Then eventually get rid of the BP altogether.I still
Think you shouldn't have went cold turkey with the bp. If I was you, id ditch the carbon and put phos gaurd in there, and cut your bp in half. Cut bp in half again next week. Get rid of them in 2-3 weeks. You may be right with them not being established, but I don't think it's worth the risk.
Nah I hear ya man, trust me, I do not want this to go even further south! Lol this is already driving me crazy so the easiest way out is best!I'm not trying to dictate what you should do but honestly man that plan sounds the least risky. The last thing you need is for things to turn worse.
So weird that u said that. I was literally just thinking if that's what was going on. Guess I gotta really siphon this crap outYou're reading 0 phosphate because your massive cyano outbreak is sucking it up and making it undetectable
