I have a giant foam square on the end of my return pump to collect debris but other than that I only have a filter sock on the output of my skimmer

Just picked up $20 worth of hermits and peppermint shrimp this morning off of a guy on Craigslist. 1 Lg shrimp and 1 Sm shrimp, about 15 hermits off all sizes, mostly blue knuckle. I think my CUC is now complete lol

I assume you got 15 blue leg hermits not 15 blue knuckle hermits. I had a blue knuckle a while again, it was cool, but much bigger and knocked frags over constantly. If they are blue knuckles, make sure you secure your frags good.

In the size of your section I can't really think of an upside. I had one then pulled it out. I just had some rubble and macro.

Like everyone said the rubble and cheato are plenty. If you really want to add something else you can do some different macros like red gracilaria or ogo which is another type of gracilaria. The gracilaria can double as some food for your tangs, most love it.
