Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I would look for something that has unions, so you can direct the tubes, and you don't have to remove all the tubing, pumps, etc. whenever you have to clean/add pellets to the reactor.
Well I'd be running it right off my manifold so no pump is needed and it already has a ball valve. Only reason I ask about this one is bc I can get one off another member for a really good price.
From my experience, it's best to have the reactor about 1/2 to 2/3 full when idle, and running (fluidized) about 2/3 to 3/4 full. So, if the reactor is too small you may not be able to get an appropriate amount of pellets into it for it to do its job.
Yeah that's what I was thinking. I don't wanna buy one that's too small when I need room to add more pellets. Might look into the XL one tho, its $70 cheaper than Reef Octopus. Might fit the budget a lil more
Purchase a RLSS FR4. From salty supply and use the coupon to drive the price down to like 100 bucks. Go to michaels and purchase the mesh for mesh needle work cut in circle and replace top and bottom foams in reactor.
#1. This is exactly what the reef octopus bio pellet reactor is as a cheaper price.
#2. It has all the unions and build quality to match. It has a convex bottom that's better than the reef octo.
#3 I have. 2 myself and wouldn't think of buying another brand puts more expensive reactor to shame.
