Dan's Nuvo 16g

What's the flow rate for it? I'd shoot for 400-500 gph for the return. This will allow you to avoid having any powerheads in the tank itself and will provide ample circulation for everything (As long as we are talking about the 16g).
Yeah its the 16. I'm guessing since its a mj400 its gph is 400.

Here it is! I went with Bimini pink sand. Running a mj1200 and it looks like its plenty. I'm probably going to add more rock but I think this is good enough for today. What do u guys think?

Goby/Pistol is great for these tanks lol

Check out Aquatraders for their 20" 4 bulb t5 light. I'm enjoying it very much on my nuvo16. It's good enough to sustain any coral you put in there

Yeah I decided I'm gonna def get a goby/pistol pair Lol or at least buy them and hope they become best friends Lol

I thought about T5s. Haven't had em in awhile tho. Do they have legs mounts?

The only thing I don't like about the Odyssea T5 fixture are the power cords. I believe there's 2 power bricks + a separate cord for the moonlights. I'd actually like to get this light but 3 plugs for 1 light as opposed to 1 light for a dimmable LED light? Not sure if I wanna do all that. Although I think the t5 will cover better space tho.

I have a 24" 4 bulb aqua traders fixture and it is only one plug and has built in timers. works very well, just need to replace the bulbs obviously if you purchase one.

Just remember that the 18" bulbs that come with the odyssea fixture are quite hard to find. I have one on my refugium I replaced them with aquaticlife 18" bulbs and surprise surprise they are 2 different sizes. They did work but I had to modify the connectors a bit. Other then that I have no complaints with the odyssea fixture. Been going strong on and off for 4 years

Alright I'll have to do a little more searching on their site. If I can find one at a reasonable price I'll probably go T5 over LEDs. John, i do remember having a smaller fixture a few years ago and yeah they were hard to find so ill take that into consideration. Do you think heat will be an issue with such a small tank?
