I just got back my ICP test. this time I used Fauna Marin. I didn't really like the format of the test. so next time I will use another company. my boron and iodine was low so I have to dose. Everything else is close enough to sea water.

yeah same sentiments when I initially got mine but for $20 and for just check ups. I think it's a bargain.

if something was going on with my tank I'd definitely got with ATI or Triton though.

I guess you get what you paid for. The triton was twice as much but it was a lot better.
They didn’t test a bunch of stuff. The trident was 100% better.

So it’s been a year since I started my tank build.
This weekend I added the 120 gallon and a 50 gallon lowboy frag tank and a 50 gallon display refugium to the system.
So now I have a Total of 600 gallon of salt water. 7 tanks and a 100 gallon sump. Don’t mind the skimmer in the frag tank. So now my fish room is done. Now I have to stock these tanks $$$$

So it’s the 1st of the month so I have to do my bi-weekly water change. I changed about 40 gallons.
I was away for a week and everything looks the same.
I had zero deaths. I took this opportunity to add some
Sand to the 120 gallon. I used the same sand I have been using. The caribe sea live sand I get it at amazon and it’s the cheaper than the LFS. I also added some miracle mud to the refugium. I used it in my last tank and the pods and inverts and sponges really like it.
I also took this time to change out the carbon and GFO
And trimmed the cheato in the refugium and cleaned out the algae scrubber.

So I was able to get a used kitchen island
On Facebook market place for cheap.
I cleaned it up and added it to the fishroom.
The island has a lot of storage and pull out drawers.
It also has a counter top that expands.

I will use this as a fraging station.
It also comes with a towel holder so that’s a bonus !!

I divided the basement into 2 rooms
one room for the fish and the other half will be for my office
in the fish room we added a sink and a counter top
Are you using backer board for wet areas like showers? I have heard people have issues with moisture between walls of built in tanks?
Just wondering.

Yes I did. I used durock for the bottom half of the wall. I also used the mold resistant sheet rock.
The fish room is build like a bathroom 100% water proof.

Are you concerned at all about whether your basement has humidity or not? I am worried about setting up a frag tank in my basement for that very reason. Not sure if it causes issues or not.

I setup a air exchange so it takes the air with humidity and exchange it with Fresh outside air.

Go bad. It’s the same one I had problems before.

Does it turn on and off, but no power comes from outlets?

I’m running on errands on a spare, parts arrived about to do this:
