I made about 6 gallons of salted water. Brought it to the correct PH/TEMP. Put the mojo into it. Then after it circulated for about 15 minutes or so with a powerhead in the bucket, I got 3 smaller buckets (actually Mrs. Reefitup did) and I put the water into those, so that I could treat the corals in their own bucket, and all of the rock in the other 2. I treated the corals first, dipped, shook, dipped, shook etc... and then the rock. Redid the rock set up ::) cause you KNOW how well it all goes back the way you had it... then I treated the tank (I dipped everything in an extra bucket of salt water after the FWE dip and before going back into tank)

Got a nice little handful of the lil' buggers, but not NEARLY as many as I thought I'd get. Tossed my Chaeto (wahhhh, now I have none), removed the carbon, and dosed the tank with about 5x the dose necessary, then a little more for good measure!

Within a few minutes, you could see em moving around on the glass...then flapping around on the glass, then WOOSH, swirling vortex of terror!

Changed the floss a few times as they collected and I've not put my fresh bag of carbon back in (on standby). Little sliming from the shaking and dipping, but zoo's, colt coral, shrooms, and a few other things opened back up. GSP's haven't been out in the last 2 days. They seem to do that. They go on a binge and hide, then come back out, but otherwise are doing great.

Everything seems to be doing OTAY! WHEW!! I still have 20% water on standby for a waterchange, and another 20% RO dripping...just in case there are any issues in the morning, but it's been about 1 1/2 hours and all seems well. I found my emerald I hadn't seen in a couple days, so having figured he died... I am one of the first people to treat their tank and end up with MORE livestock then before I dipped (not withstanding the flatworms of course) ;D

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Worked out well. Gonna toss the carbon in just before I finally get to bed...

((of course, if it looks like that in the morning I'll be happy))

You GO Brian!! It brought a tear to my eye ;)

This morning everything seems to be ok. Lights haven't come on yet but I see nothing sliming and zoo's are already open waiting for the lights so I think we're good...yay... Man, that goes to show that sometimes reading stuff on the internet can backfire. It focuses so heavily on the negatives, not the positives.

I was so stressed about that for nothing. I could only find where someone lost a sea apple, but it seemed most/all of the losses associated with the dying FW's were fish. I, luckily, still haven't broken down and put a fish in yet ::)

Phyl, I think this one covers the fingers crossed and the geeky part all in one :p
