I am looking at the reefbreeder aquanight nano led light. I don’t know why they call it aquanight. It’s a full spectrum led, not a night light. I already have reefbreeder photonV2 on my display. They grow SPS and clam at 50%. The clam is all the way on the bottom. The aquanight is rated for 12” square for SPS, and 18” for mix reef. It’s also serviced In Rhode Island. You could overnight it, and get it repaired if needed.I'll probably be converting my fuge to frag section real soon.
Lighting is the only issue I see having. I use T5 on the main system. The frag sect6will need to be LED. And it's pretty shallow so dimmable is a must
I'll give that a lookI am looking at the reefbreeder aquanight nano led light. I don’t know why they call it aquanight. It’s a full spectrum led, not a night light. Do you have any frags down there yet?Kids went to bed early tonight so I had time to mess with it. Made the frag rack and mounted the kessil just have to scrape some of the coraline algae of the the front glass.View attachment 25776View attachment 25777View attachment 25778
Cool. The light you have is known to grow sps very well. How is the flow?Yeah I have some gsp frags and some zoas in there. Going to but some sps frags in there to test out the light.
The flow is good but is kind of one side not very random a small powerhead will break it up a little and make it more random.Your flow through your sump is the same as your return in your tank, the sump is a smaller area that has plenty of flow through it so a power head may upset your frags unless they like it rough
Flow and velocity are 2 different things. Flow is always the same. You put 500 gph in. You get 500 gph out. When it goes through baffles and gets dissipated, it looses velocity. The velocity is what causes the agitation. Not the flow. The coral just like water moving across them. They don’t care how much gph your pump is moving. I have my powerheads aimed directly at my sps. If they weren’t glued down, they’d be blown right off the rock. They love if.The flow is good but is kind of one side not very random a small powerhead will break it up a little and make it more random.
