How many people here run a NeoZeo/Zeovit based tank?

does anyone use potassion with this system? notice any benefits

I do (I know that smcooler, Stan, does also).

There are a TON of benefits for your SPS. Anything that has blue in it will color up tremendously. The blue straight up pops out after using Potassion.

I'd really, really recommend that anyone even not using the Zeo use the Potassion. The color change is incredible.

K is great for monties too. When using neo zeo rocks or any zeolites K is a must as the rock pull huge amounts from the water, along with rapid ammonium absorption.

Does anyone know much NeoZeo will fit on a TLF reactor? what is the maximum size of a tank that the will be good for?

Will fit fine in a TLF reactor.

The reactor is perfect for a 55G tank or smaller for Zeo. Any larger sized tank you'll either want two reactors or run it in a true Zeo reactor or even a canister filter.

I only use 2 Zeo products and am thrilled so far with the results. As my system matures, I'll probably add more of their products. :)

Wendy, you mind if I ask which two products? thanks.

Thanks Jonathan. That will be perfect I was looking to experiment in my smaller tank. 22g Cadlights tank

LMK if you need more info when everything is ready. Always willing to help.

Plus I have a TLF Phosban reactor for sale/trade if you want it!

I have been on the fence about this but am about to start . Here are my questions .
Do I still run carbon and phosban reactors like I am doing now ?
If going with the rocks, which I will, what additives are suggested . Not by the company but by users ?
I just bought new Bionic two part, can this be used instead of the brightwell two part until I finish it ?
What do you test for after running it for a while??
Still run a fuge ?
Questions based on a sps dominate tank, thanks to all who answer .

OK, I've decided to order the rocks. It should come in a few days. I will be using a Magnum 350 canister filter to house the media. I also purchased K.

Now..... Can you guys/gals tell me at what time of the day you are dosing all these products? It sure seems like allot to dose all at once.

I have a moderately stocked, SPS dominated, 210G BB with a 75G RDSB and a 40G frag tank all plumbed together into a 60G sump (total water volume is ~300G). The system has been running for ~ 18 months. I have 14 fish including 4 medium to large tangs all of which I keep very well fed. I have ~ 150# of LR in the 210 and 6” of LS in the 75.

I don’t employ the “ZEOvit Method / Basic 4”.

I’m 6 months into dosing the following Zeo supplements 3 times per week: Coral Vitalizer, Coral Snow, B-Balance, Coral Xtra, Potassium Iodide, Iron Concentrate, and Amino Acid High Concentrate. I dose Potassium Strong once a week and after my twice monthly 40 gallon water changes. Potassium level is somewhere in the 350 to 400 range ( IMO, that Potassium test kit from Zeo is pretty subjective)

I run a liter of carbon in an eheim canister filter and change it out every 6 weeks. Nitrates are 0 and Phosphates vary between .00 and .02 on a Hanna meter (the range appears to be linked to the TDS level of my RO/DI).

I run a Korallin calcium reactor which keeps my calcium at ~ 430 and my alkalinity at ~ 2.5 meq/L. My PH fluctuates between 8.05 (night) and 8.25 (day). Mg stays pretty constant at ~1200.

I run an Orca 250 skimmer (and love it).

I’ve noticed a substantial improvement in coloration and growth rate since dosing the supplements. In my opinion, I get the most “noticeable” benefit from the Amino Acids, Coral Vitalizer, and Potassium Iodide. My blue and red acropora / pocillopora have colored up very nicely and my green acropora / pocillopora have a deeper more intense color to them. My monti’s appear to be heartier then they were before dosing, however, I have not seen the same level of improvement as compared to the acro’s/pocci’s. I have not noticed any changes to any LPS or Zoa’s.

Overall I’m happy with the results. So far, there have been no negative effects to my Zeo supplementation regime (that I can tell). In the last two weeks, I’ve started to lower my dose rates of Potassium Iodide and Iron in an attempt to dose the least amount possible yet achieve the coloration I’m looking for. In a week or two I’ll run out of Coral Xtra and may not continue dosing to see if I notice any changes.

you should now go with the bacic 4 from zeo or brightwell, then you will see even more posative changes, and no need for po4 removers. My 180 main tank system has over 40 fish and a po4 level of 0.02 per photo meter.

{Edited to fix quoting}

Any updates from anyone using the Brightwell products. I'm on my seventh week. Been dosing MB7, RBF, and Koral Color. Today I will start dosing Amino.

"If" wanted I can bring Alexander Girz here. He is the the Admin of and head Mod of the Zeovit forum. He is not part of the company at all and is just a hobbyist like the rest of you. He is one hell of a great guy and I have had him visit other forums and now he kinda owes me for something else
