I haven’t been on in awhile. As many of you know, I homeschool. When Maddie was in the hospital, we got really behind. Therefore, in order to catch up and still have a summer, life became school, which is all we have been doing, that and babysitting Maddie.

Our fourth child graduated last week and Jeff and Susie finished their schooling for the year. Now, I can breathe for a little bit.

My tanks have really fallen apart. My fish only tank lost many fish. I am still not sure what happened. After I started losing fish, I tested the water and the nitrate level was off the chart. After 3 50% water changes, it still is at 100ppm. I have a deep sand bed in the tank, and one of the wrasses dug out a 10-inch hole right to the bottom. Not sure if this is what caused the nitrate spike but pretty sure this did it. I lost most of the fish in the tank, only left with my skunk clown, bird wrasse, and a marine betta. I lost a yellow tang, a ringtailed tang, a naso tang, an orange shouldered tang, a red coris wrasse, a velvet wrasse, a firefish, and a scribbled rabbitfish (sorry Bax). :'(

My reef tank, while I haven’t lost any fish, the pink tipped anemone problem that I have has come back with a vengeance. Very depressing. And I leave in about two weeks for a two week vacation. AAGGGHHH!!! Not sure what I will come back to.

Doug and Andy are in a shark tournament on Saturday, and I will be in Pa picking up our daughter from a birthday party, so I will not be able to make the meeting on Saturday.

Hopefully, life will settle back into some semblance of a routine and I will be on here more often.

We bred our Golden Retriever and hopefully in 6 weeks we will be having lots of little pattering feet around here. ;D

Thanks Bill for checking up on me, I appreciate it.

Erna! Great to hear from you! I was just wondering how everyone was doing myself.

And as if things weren't crazy enough... you bred your dog on purpose?! LOL! You crazy woman!

Sorry to hear about your FO problems, not to mention the PTA problem. I thought for sure you'd licked those. Looking forward to seeing you around more (as are your fish, I'm sure) now that things are settling back down!

Sorry to hear about your tank! Do you have anything from the group buys that you need picked up? I was looking forward to seeing you and Doug, maybe next time. Breeding dogs do you miss the patter of 16 feet that much?

I am just so happy to hear that all is well with you and Maddie and the rest of your family!

Too bad about the rabbit, I am sure he had a better life in your FOLWR as he was really starting tick me off. Especially after he broke into my zoa holding section and devoured about $500 worth of stuff!

Congrats on the impending puppies!

Phyl, actually my husband is the crazy one here. I wanted to wait to the next heat to try, things are way too crazy right now. But..... Doug is hoping to pay off some credit cards with the profits. (Don't want to count my chickens yet)

Bob, Ummmm... I still have a number of those feet still at home, not that they are little anymore though. Doug keeps telling me it is only for 8 weeks that we will have to hear those little feet, and clean up their little mess. ;D Men!! ::)

Dave, When I get back from our camp vacation, I may give you a shout. My daughters who are staying home are glad that all the fish died now and not when they were watching them. Come August I will be trying to get everything back in control.

Bax, I really liked that fish and will be looking for another when things settle down. He was such fun and would come right up and eat from your hand.
