That hand rail is gorgeous! As is the tank trim. Very nice work, Mike. Looking great, Ed!

Really nice guys. I knew Mike was a genius after seeing his homemade stand.

I have a really nice fishroom and wall waiting for me that I will do in the future and I'm coming back to this thread when it's time to go to work.

I'm going to wait on buying anything more for the tank. We are running out of $$.
Sorry to put you thru all that.

After 15 hours of last min things to finish and clean up. I'm ready for carpet on Friday. I water proofed the room on Mike's suggestion I put a lot of silicon caulk around the floor and then put up plastic trim then more silicon. I used 5 tubs on 3 walls 8 by 18. I did a test and dumped 10 gallons of water on the floor and it stayed in the fish room. Cross your fingers that I never flood the carpet.

Ok so I put the Marco rock in the tank from the swap to get a feel if I have enough. The answer is no but it looks cool.

Guess you'll be needing alot more ;) What's going on in the back of the tank, tarp type material, more construction? Basement looks great after seeing it carpeted in the other thread.

I like the look of it, personally. I would open up the rock so it wasn't packed so tight, make it a bit more open so the fish can swim through the rock and leave the two islands. It looks good to me. Any more rock can go into the sump!

Are you going to go bare bottom Ed? If so, maybe just a bunch of rubble on the bottom would be cool. Then let the zoos and stuff cover the rubble. I like the open look as well. Get some nice stags and they'll have plenty of room to grow out. They'll fill it right up. And like Phyl said, plenty of room in the sump for some rock as well. At the very most, I would find a nice long flat rock to bridge the islands, maybe a branch or two.
