That seems like a permission issue. I will take a look and see if I can see where the permission is set incorrect.

Is there a way to see messages you have posted on? For instance, if this thread hasn't been active for several days and I wanted to find it but don't know what forum it is on, if I looked on a list of my messages, then I could find it there. In my case, I wanted to find the thread where people introduced themselves to read through a few more pages, but I couldn't find it (so far) as I don't know where to look.

OK, I found it. I didn't look in the sticky threads. Also, as a thought. Would it be reasonable to link a full tank shot to a person's (members) name which could be updated or replaced over time.

You can always use the "search" at the top right of the page (which I am using more and more myself) or you can go to your profile and view your post. At the bottom you click the links for items you might not see.

I got it now. When I hit my user name on the top line, or when I hit my avatar, I then have to hit the line called your profile page which acts as a hyperlink to my profile. From there I pick the posting tab. I was expecting it to be just above or below the conversations when I hit my name.

Guys. I edited the permissions on the forum "Past Meetings". These changes are to prevent spammers from posting photos onto the photo slide show. The settings allow NJRC Members the rights to post photos to already created threads (either created by a BOD or Web Committee person). Users who are not NIRC Members will be able to view the photos, view the threads, like comments, but nothing else.

If you find that you are unable to see any photos, post anything, or have any questions feel free to comment here so we can address any issues.

Thank You

Awesome job! [emoji106]
Wondering if there's any way to keep spammers from creating a profile and/or posting in the first place? Many times, I am on during the wee hours and have difficulty finding valid threads squashed between all the overnight garbage. I'd love to stomp out dem bugs when I see 'em, on behalf of all good citizens of the sea, if there is a way to do so! [emoji223] Perhaps, a confirmation/verification process or moderation of initial posts so spam can't get through to the group would be helpful. Just my two cents, for what it's worth.

Dealing with spammer is a never ending game. I believe our system is now using a newer spam filter which is helping to cut down the spammers.

Right now I believe @Edwardw771 and @kschweer handle the spammers and they do a pretty good job at keeping them at bay.

Some of those settings may be helpful but also harmful. They could cause frustration for a new member who might decided not to join the club.

I think at this time the best thing to do is flag a post as spam if you feel its spam. You can do this but clicking the 'Report' button.
