Thank you Darren! I'm loving the fox flame, been eyeing it up for a while and got a great deal on it at RAP so I couldn't pass it up. Excited to see it start growing.

Thanks man! Hopefully the will start growing and showing some more colors soon. Lately the bigger one has been "walking" around its plug leaving babies behind. I'm not complaining too much but I would like to see it grow...lol

Thanks Juan! There's a pearlberry, rose milli, red planet, and a sarmentosa. I think theirs one more too kinda behind the pearlberry I just forget what it is.

No problem man. I haven't found those particular ones to be much harder to keep than any other acros. If you ever find yourself down south let me know I can break you off a few pieces to try.

onday morning (4am) I got woken up by a bad storm with heavy rain and some thunder and lightening. Noticed a strange smell coming from the room where the tanks are located. I searched for at least 45 minutes with no luck and was ready to call the fire dept in case it was something electrical in the wall. Before I did I decided to take one more look, turns out it was my skimmer pump smoking. Very lucky that the storm woke me up or it could have been much worse than a broken skimmer pump. I can't complain the pump has worked flawlessly for about 5 years. Only issue I have is that the OTP pumps have been discontinued. I ordered an aquatrance 1000s which is the replacement. Anyone have any experience with these pumps?

Thanks Paul. Definitely glad it wasn't worse. Hoping the pump comes today. I know the tank should be fine without the skimmer for this short period but I really want to get it back online soon.

Thanks Jose. The skimmer is external so no current would have gone through the tank, luckily. Hopefully I'll see you in ventnor Friday.

Just read all these pages. It would have been a different thread if it wasn't for the storm. Everything happens for a reason. Awesome tank by thr way
