New tank

So got a decent amount of plumbing done today after multiple trips to depot and lowes, and a later start than I was planning (needed to sleep in after getting up at 2:45 am all week).

Did run into a few problems. First I have to reconfigure pump location. Second is my UV. Originally I was going to put it under the stand, unfortunately I need a few more inches to fit it under there. That is causing a big head ache lol.

Considering selling this UV and getting smaller one. So if anyone is looking for giant UV let me know.

I have a heater room behind tank, that is were the fuge is. But space is right in there and not sure if UV is going to fit.

Plumbing is done. Ready to start aqua scaping

rock and sand are in, RO is slowly filling up. Thank you to Jason Verna with all the help forming/ cementing rock and helping me get it in the tank. And a big thank you to my son, Christian, for helping with all the heavy lifting.

Nice! Rock looks great how much rock is in there? Looks a little light will it be enough to run you tank? Are you planning on some rock in the sump? I love the tank it looks great wow I would love to have a tank that size

Looking good Hans. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to make sure you add some kind of pipe support to that long horizontal PVC run for the return lines. Otherwise, that might be a lot of weight and torque on the bulkheads and you don't want to have a failure there.

Rock work looks great though and yes, that size tank is making a lot of us jealous.

It's about 150-200 lbs of rock. I am going to add some rock to the fuge (75 gallon in room behind tank) and also a mix of rock ruble and crushed coral in reactor area off sump.

Thank you guys for all the great comments. I still have to add all the strapping for the pipes (probably tomorrow before work). I always do that due to the wieght odd the water so it doesn't stress joints.

Going to have main pump running by Thursday.

What sand did you go with? I was going to use tropic eden in my new 60 gallon cube but the premium aquatics prices seems MUCH higher than it was when i ordered first 2 times. I might just go with tried and true carib-sea reefloor

I have used it on dry and wet rock. I will say it is much easier to use on dry rock. I feel it bonds better when rock is dry. Other than that it works great.
