First off, congrats on the new home! And the new tank. Sorry for your fish losses. Those are both real nice fish :'(. Can't wait to see some pics.
Thanks again for the monkey you got for Madison. It rarely leaves her side
Went to take pics and the camera battery was dead. Pics coming soon.
Len glad she likes the monkey and we made ourselves feel better by buying a pair of helfrichis and a yasha. The mystery wrasse has moved on to a better place, no he is not dead.
Really, really sorry to hear about the losses Nikki. Put on a side note, the tank looks really great! Hoping I can make it to the meeting to see these in person.
Thank you very much. Those clowns have been together for a while now, we are waiting for them to spawn. I would love to see what their offspring looked like.
Alright it has been a while since I have updated this thread so now it is time. We went through a several week span where we were losing SPS colonies at an alarming rate, the stress from the move must have been too much and we just lost things. We were pretty bummed out, we tried to cut and save some frags but in the end we lost a bunch. We did not do anything drastic to the tank but we have been steady in our maintenance program. I added the dosing pumps and bags of carbon and phosban because I could not fit the BRS reactor under the stand. We have increased the light about 5% a week and are now sitting pretty at 60%. The corals have stopped dying and I think we are in good shape. We may lose 1 or 2 more but hopefully they will recover. The good news is that the rest of the SPS are now colored up and have great polyp extension. All of the chalices, zoas, and anything not an acro is doing very very well. We are getting some good growth and are happy. I purchased some MR1 shorty reactors to be shoehorned into the sump which will provide active carbon and phosban filtration.
