Nice looking fish ya got Richie. Let's hope they do get along.

You didn't put your fish in a QT first eh? Your's look pretty healthy but you can never tell if they are carrying anything. Call me anal, but I always keep my new fish in a QT for a month before introducing them to my main tank... no matter where I get them from.

I got my fingers cross.

Mike, I got the bulbs from Reef Geeks. The GE 6500K Daylight and the GE 3000K Daylight bulbs that Reef Geek has on their site are both Ecolux bulbs.

corals seem to go thru changes during the summer/winter season. I actually think the halides in the winter/t5's in the summer is a good idea. sort of faking them out. At least worth a try.

Hey Ric Did you Hang your lights? I just got the constellation tonight and I'm finding that its hard to get access to the tank.

Wow, you brought this thread back to life.
No, my Constellation is sitting on the tank. Just like Jays ;). I do not have a problem getting in the tank as I can push it to the back. The fixture is only 14" wide and my tank is 24" width. I wouldn't recommend hanging it. I believe your tank is 24" high and you don't want to go any higher than that.
I'm changing my fixture soon to 80w T5's. My tank is 30" tall.

Ugh... I just Hung mine like 3" high using the hanging kit. All of my SPS are on the Second half of the tank. I'm changing my bulbs from premium aquatics to a custom setup by Grim Reefer. My Tank being only 18 Wide" and my Rock Work High up. Height on my tank is 23" or less because the water Level inside the tank is not on the tippy tip. I think my light 3" above the tank would be ok. I got Jay's fixture btw lol. Your going to do 8X 80w like Wendy did?

Well, here is a pic of my sad looking tank. I lost lots of corals. The current corals are not doing so well either. I took this pic today as I will be taking it down soon. I will be upgrading to a 300 gallon. I'm debating if I should start a build thread for the 300 as it will be a slow process.

I like your rock work and I'm glad you decided to stay. Tank looks dark for some reason though. I've been searching high and low for a 150gal tank XH that I could turn into a peninsula and not having much luck I'm afraid. All things considered one of my reasons for going with a shorter higher tank were to save a TON on lighting. I'm starting to think though that I might be able to get away with going for a bigger tank since I plan to switch to LED Lighting which would light that entire 215 for the electrical cost of 1.5 Halides. Is that 215 30" high or like 27" high?
