Tank birthday and I'm a Geezer

Paulie, I have a Moray eel story and I am not sure I put it on here, but I think it is in my book.
We are taking a long ride now to the east end just to check out the beach. We won't be going anywhere near people and may just take a walk.

This morning I made some really nice waffles. I make breakfast every day and I like to get a little creative and do something different every day as much as possible.
These are Paleo waffles. (Think cave man) No wheat flour or sugar but they taste really good. (we always try to eat healthy up to a point)
(They are almond flour and coconut flour) I am trying to use what I have and the alternative is dirt, ASW or diatom powder. :confused2:

The other stuff is just nuked apples with a little cinnamon and cloves, and nuked blueberries, bananas.

That red stuff is the "Jumping Juice" I make for my wife for pain, and it works great because if she forgets to take it, the pain for her is overwhelming.

I wanted to eat outside but it is still a little cold, like 55 degrees. I don't live in a Girly climate, we only have Manly climate here where it rains nails and hails cro bars. :p

On another note, it seems my friend has the Corona virus. But although he has a fever and not enough energy to get up, he is still breathing with no problems so the Dr. told him to stay home and don't take anything for fever because it's the fever that kills the virus. Or more accurately "inactivates" the virus because viruses are not actually alive so you can't kill them.
If he can wait it out he will get cured and as a benefit will probably be immune to it afterwards. I really hope so anyway.

A market also just called me and I can pick up my food tomorrow. That is good news. Be well everyone.

Sorry to read that your friend has it. Is his wife feeling okay? Glad you're able to get the market can put your order together for you to pickup.

Diana, so far his wife doesn't seem to have it, but she has asthma so it would not be a good thing.
She is spending so much time washing sheets and sterilizing things that we can't talk to her. But she texted us today.

Although we live on a 120 mile long Island and I live on the east end, it is still about 45 minutes for us to go all the way out east on the North Fork of the Island where we live. WE just went out there and explored many beaches that I never knew were there. We had lunch on this one.

My wife can't walk on the sand so we had to stay on the pavement. Connecticut is probably 27 miles across from here.

Then we went to a Park at Orient Point right next to the Plum Island Ferry. I think Orient point is the most eastern part of the US beside Montauk Point which is on the South Fork of Long Island.

This is the road that goes to Orient Beach State park and that is Plum Island in the background where the Government did animal experiments with incurable diseases and all sorts of Nasty nerve poisons etc.

Now the Lab there is closed and they don't know what to do with the Island. Being what they did there, I don't want to live there but it is prime real estate and may be developed. (No Thanks)
Nelson DeMille wrote a book titled "Plum Island" about it.

This afternoon we are hosting an Anti Corona Virus party.
It will be outside in my driveway. The neighbors will all bring their own chairs, drinks, glasses and snacks. I provide the music.
We will all be at least 6' apart.

Diana, I may put a pillow case over my head.

Even at 29 years old, these fireclowns still lay eggs every 10 days or so. I don't know where they get the energy.

It’s nice that you make breakfast every day I do too but basically just for myself because my children don’t eat breakfast and in the 25 years plus that I have been married my wife has never ever once made breakfast just not their thing. So I do it myself for myself kind a like my sex life lately

My friend who is still very sick came back negative again for Corona Virus. He still has a fever for like 2 weeks, is hallucinating, can't get up and lost control of bodily functions.

His wife is going nuts but being he tests negative, they won't help him. He lives in Nassau New York which is the epicenter of the disease with more cases than anywhere in the country. I live just outside Nassau in Suffolk so we are probably second in the country.

His wife had to go to a clinic to get the test. The clinic is a filthy place because disgusting people are getting the test and throwing their used gloves on the floor.
Her Doctor had to cal the clinic to get the test. She brought it home and tested him, then brought it back to the clinic for the results which came 2 days later.
His doctor prescribed a Z Pack which is for a bacterial infection.

They won't test him for anything else because our hospitals and clinics are over run and you can't see anyone. There are over 20,000 cases just in Nassau which isn't that big.

On a brighter story, I noticed my last batch of Fireclown eggs hatched so with nothing else to do, I figured I would try to find some of them.

I turned off all the powerheads, I have 5 of them. And I looked closely at the film on the surface of the water.

After a while I saw one. A couple of seconds went by and I started to see more and more of them. Of course I can barely see them but there are quite a few all over the place.

I don't raise fish any more so they will become gorgonian food but thats just the way it is. Even if I wanted to raise them, I couldn't as I can't get rotifers now. Maybe in the future I will again raise some fish but now I have more pressing things to do and these guys spawn constantly. I don't even like Fireclowns as they are not that interesting even though thy are quite rare as I rarely see them anywhere.

I got the male 29 years ago as a baby and I thought it was a RedHawk fish because I never saw a Fireclown.

Brother what a shame about your friend man
That’s crazy he’s had that high of a fever for two weeks and they will do anything for him except for give him a stupid Z pack it just goes to show this bug is bigger than all of us
Being as you are so close to the epicenter please be careful my friend would be extremely sad day if something happened to you

Thanks Paulie. WE are being as careful as possible.
We just had food delivered, they leave it outside and I paid in advance with a credit card. Then my wife washes everything.
Aside from taking a bath in battery acid, there isn't any more we could do.

I can't find any flatworms in my tank and a few months ago I had thousands. To get rid of them, I went out to dinner and had some Pino Noir. That was before this Pandemic of course.

Flatworms, like most things in this hobby get bored and disappear on their own even though many people like to throw Flatworm exit in their tanks. I don't know what that stuff is made out of but I would never put it in my tank.

I have two of these guys and they are not spawning so they must be both males or belong to a different political party as they can't seem to stand each other and never interact.

I love the color combinations of the fish you post that’s what’s great about this hobby is all the different rainbow colors that are involved so far under the water

Check it out Paul today my friend gave me another sea cucumber because the first one didn’t quite make,it but also had about eight grass shrimp,, so when I put the shrimp in the tank the seahorses went wild,,the shrimp were a little big for the seahorses, then all of a sudden the seahorses would just gang up on one of them it was so funny,,three Seahorses ripping apart one grass shrimp,,Goes to show that even after two years of nothing but frozen food the second a fresh live shrimp was put in there for them to eat they went right back to their basic instinct
