It's great how you donate to the cause, it really is a scary disease. I found out soon after we moved into our new house a few years ago that my next door neighbor has MS. He's a young guy in his late 30's and was diagnosed about 6 years ago. At first you couldn't tell that he had the "invisible disease" as he calls it because he's an active outdoors kinda guy. Worked crazy hours as a manager at shoprite so i could understand him always being tired. He would talk about how his wife would massage his arms and legs to help the tingling go away. He's a beer drinking, whiskey drinking, meat eating, carb eating Italian so the doctor told him to cut the drinking and the carbs and exercise more so he did. He lost weight, too much weight, and unfortunately he started feeling worse. They upped his pain medication for him but the pain was still keeping him up at night. The scariest was when he lost feeling in one leg and had so much pain in the other one day at work that his boss had to drive him home mid shift. I happened to be home that morning and his wife came over to ask if I could help carry him in so of course I did. He was a bit incoherent and absolute dead wight to carry in. He's a proud man who doesn't like to ask for help but it doesn't stop me from helping out when needed. This past weekend he needed firewood for the season so i split some logs i had and had his son come over a grab it. He's got a wife, a young teenage boy aged 14 and 2 daughters 8 and 11. They just recently found out their dad was sick when he just couldn't hide it anymore. Of course they cried and it broke his heart. It's a terrible disease and a tough battle. I wish your wife all the best of luck with her battle.
