The 210 tank build

Mike and nikki, where do you have your blondies? My center bleached out and I've been trying to find a happy medium ever since! I have it all the way on the sand now.

They are at the top level of the frag tank and have been there since I have gotten them. Mine are under T5s though.

I love it! How many do you have?

We have two, I think they are a pair, but they do just fine together.

Good god that's expensive.

As I said, not a cheap fish but the prices online are more than we paid. We got them from AO and Elos and did not pay what say Liveaquaria has them for. They fit what we want in the tank, reef safe, peaceful (for the most part a little hazing of the hawensis) and beautiful. I will see if I can pull some other pics of them, they sit pretty still so it is easy to photograph them.

Borbonius are definitely cool fish. Anthias are almost as addictive as wrasses. It seem like a lot of the more interesting ones are deep water and require lower temps to happy. Are the borbonius bold or on the shy side? I've thought about adding one or two eventually.

99% of the time they are peaceful and just swim around not bothering anyone. The only time I saw any aggression at all is when I added the hawenisis anthias because they were roughly the same size and shape. The big borb would chase them around a bit, but after a few weeks nothing. Now they just bop around doing there own thing.

Hulas came from Ao. So far they are great, they swim together and are very fun to watch. Our tank has been at 75 so we will see how they do. Very happy Ora started breeding these guys.

The hulas are really neat. So far, they are swimming together, feeding actively, and growing.
The test will be the summer.
ORA says they do not do well over 78 degrees, and in the summer our DT runs about 77.
I may bump the heater down and see if that makes a difference, but I keep the house at 75 in the summer so we shall see.
Worst case, I may move them to the frag tank in the basement if the temp in the DT starts to creep up in the spring.

It has been a good week in the Andrieu household.
We had some fun and bought a group of Cooperi Anthias, 3 females and one male.
I'm really excited about them. They are reddish-pink, and the big guy is starting to develop a blue stripe, and the three girls are fat and active.
Even better, the tank FINALLY seems to be out of the "new system" phase; the live rock is finally covered in coraline and NOT algae, the corals are coloring up and growing again, and all of the fish are looking nice and healthy.
There have been times when the 205 has seemed like a struggle, and I am very happy that I finally feel like it is finally stabilizing.
