Thanks good to know both the fish and camera as that is what I have too.
What sort of setting do you use? Adjustments?

All photos are raw off the camera, with zero adjustments. I am thinking of getting a photoshop lite type program as I lost a lot of good pictures to little things that could probably be corrected very quickly and easily. When I shoot fish I use the little running man setting meant for motion on auto fire setting so I can snap off a bunch of pics really quickly. I also find this setting helps when shooting under the LEDs so you don't get soo much light hitting the sensor. I have been thinking about getting a macro lens as well, but still making up my mind on that (tamron 90mm which gets great reviews or go up to the 100mm nikor products which get amazing reviews and about a 300-400 price differential).

This is the Nikkor lens that everyone raves about for macro and I know a couple of stores who use it as well.

This is the Tamron which is the "budget" macro lens

If you search amazon and other sites you can find them for even cheaper than what is listed. I have also read very good reviews of the tamron for what you are paying. This is all based on my limited understanding of cameras and lenses and the research I have done. I am sure some photographers could give you much better reasons why one lens over the other.

I guess between the three you have a nice price selection, the one I posted came highly recommended by guy at B&H for that price point. I am not sure I can budget the others. But the camera was a great package, I get a lot of soccer/sport/outdoor shots with it.

Nice pics Mike. Those gels make a huge difference. I've been using the ones that praveen mentioned in the other thread. Got them from someone on MR. Hard to believe a piece of orange plastic can make this big of a difference.

It has been a LONG time since we updated.

UPDATE: corals are doing better. We finally have SPS up in the DT and encrusting (for the first time since setting up the 205 in Aug. 2012) and parameters stable. I tore apart and redid the rockwork, removing rock from against the back wall in an effort to reduce the number of "dead" spots in the tank. Downside: We lost a lot of fish this winter. Our Helfrichi's are no longer, I think that was old age (they were 3+), and we lost multiple wrasses to what I think was a parasite coupled with a bacterial infection.

On the good side, Karen tells me that Jaws is very happy with his girlfriend Connie in Hawaii, and I am eagerly awaiting news of a fertile spawn from her.
Here in our tank, our flame wrasse pair is still lovely, and our black tang definitely isn't a baby any more. Will see if I can get Mike to post more photos soon. He has a couple of new fish he has not announced yet and a few more coming in the near future. Cross your fingers for us, our LFS called us today and told us the new baby we were excited about (yes FINNED baby) isn't doing well, so we have our fingers crossed that she pulls through and can come home to us early next week.
Cheers all :),
Nikki

Looking good. I must have missed the new lights part. Is that an ATI fixture there?

Correct, we decided to go back to t5s. We wanted to hedge so we went with the hybrid fixture. So far it has been amazing and our corals in the display look amazing.
