Bigger cells (Coolia) had the classic dino round spinning movement. Tiny ones (Chrysophytes) did not, most likely confirming they are a type of diatoms.@ericrodriguez & @nvladik They are thinking possibly Coolia & Chrysophytes. Did you notice the round cells moving at all? They posted a sample video of how Coolia move.

Okay I’ll do that, I have one right now but don’t know exactly if it’s big enough…@ericrodriguez For Coolia, the treatment is oversized UV plumbed to and from the display. Recommended UV size is 1 watt per 3 gallons. If you can go even bigger, bigger is better. Flow through the UV should be slow...1 to 3 times gph. Very important though that it is plumbed to and from the display.
