Ohh gosh I forgot we chatted before. I am in Ho-Ho-Kus. Drop me off a sample in a cup, I'll take a look at it.

FRAG SWAP VENDOR
I have no experience with dinos, but I think the black out period is a old procedure and there are better methods to combat dinos, I believe there is a thread/series at humblefish about this, also in my experience removing corals to tackle problems in the tank has resulted inore loses due to the changes, I rather put the corals thru the process, they have the bacteria/algae with them too,.

Water gets cold very quickly this time a year, I recently removed all frags from the frag tank to give it a good clean, didn't think it would take me too long so I just everything in a bucket, water dropped 20 degrees in 20 minutes, lost some frags and the others were pissed for weeks. Good luck

Try blowing it away or siphoning out. I ran the hose to my filter socks so no water change needed.

@ericrodriguez For Coolia, the treatment is oversized UV plumbed to and from the display. Recommended UV size is 1 watt per 3 gallons. If you can go even bigger, bigger is better. Flow through the UV should be slow...1 to 3 times gph. Very important though that it is plumbed to and from the display.

Okay I’ll do that, I have one right now but don’t know exactly if it’s big enough…
