I've used it before and it worked, just be ready to treat for cyano afterwards.

it almost sounds like your tank is restarting.. if you're starting to get cyanos.. just get your nutrients balanced out to near the red field ratio, eventually your tank will get over this phase

I’m also thinking there’s a circle going on, my salinity went up so much in December so it makes sense…

Reef Flux aka Fluconazole doesn't work on dinos. It will kill bryopsis and GHA, but not dinos.
