I am in Millville, south jersey, and was wondering if any of you have had any experience in collecting tropical fish that get carried up the Atlantic and end up on our shores? I'd love to find something, any recommendations of where to go and how to catch something?
The summer was off to a slow start. I agree, September things should pick up. Collected some Blennys and Butterflies so far. Odd this year too, some of the Blennys are laying eggs in the tank. Some have identified them as sailfin or seaweed blennys, but not sure of the ID.
I saw a blenny in the display tank in Maryland's Assateague Island Visitor Center...he was in a tank next to the tank with the flounder and sea horse...lol
I know paul (out in long island) has caught tropicals too...not sure if he will see this thread to post.
