the first time i won a raffle was at Brian's house. There were like 5 of us there and there were 7 frags. We all got one.....

At the last speaker event, we did a lottery. I had 3 tickets, out of probably 50, and mine were in the last 7 to be called. Including the last 2.

Hello Everyone,

My names Meagan, Xavier's girlfriend. I currently set up my second tank this past weekend. 29 Biocube, waiting to be able to put my fish in it! I have a huge love for clownfish and anemones, all types and sizes. I spend hours shopping online for corals, which is dangerous to my wallet! I have been together with Xavier for three years, and prior to him I didn't even know this whole other world of "fish." I have never been so happy to find such a wonderful hobby like salt water tanks. It is honestly one of my favorite things now, and I am honored to be a part of the club! Cant wait to meet everyone at the meeting! and maybe win some raffles ;)

The April speaker event was when I cashed in on my luck. I went home with TLF NPX Biopellets, NPX Screens, a Bottle of Revive and 2 frags!

Hello NJ Reefers

I am now an official member of this wonderful club. My name is Faye and I live in Mystic Island (South NJ). I was introduced to this group by my daughter Meg (Megs0628).

My family's had reef tanks for about 7 years. For Christmas of 2010, my daughter bought me MY first tank. I am now the proud owner of a 45 hex. I started slowly with mostly soft corals. I've been getting daring lately and had added some LPS and SPS. I just purchased neon candy canes and some monti frags. So far, so good. I know that I'm officially addicted to this hobby--I keep thinking of bigger tanks, better lighting and planning road trips to spend way too much money.

I look forward to learning from everyone on this site. And hopefully will be at my first meeting this month.

My name is Rich and I have been around a long time in the hobby and on various reef boards but for some reason I never joined NJRC. I have lived all over NJ, Philly and NYC and now live in Haddonfield, NJ (08033, right next to Cherry Hill for you northerners). So I have been a member of DVRC since it started and now am glad to be a paid member here as well. I look forward to meeting more people from South Jersey.

Welcome to the club Rich. Now I don't have to track you down on reef central when I want to ask about that nano.

Hello, My name is Josh. I've been in SW for only about 4 yrs. I kind of fell into corals about 3 yrs ago when a friend of a friend had to get rid of there tank(45 corner) that I put into my 135 gal. That lasted for about 1 year before the Leater toadstool died and whiped out almost the whole tank(everything except 3 watermelon mushrooms, 1 hairy mushroom, and some polyps). At that point I felt as though I wanted big fish. Got 3 tangs, 2 angels, blenny, ect. Ended up getting ich REAL bad Real quick. Treated all the fish then sold them all at one shot. From there I put what I had into my 40 pillar. Had that for a short period so I could start from almost scratch again with the 135. Got the 135 up and running again and had a FOWLR. I saved a Baby shark(someone cut it out of its egg shell premature) but gave it to someone through the lfs that had a better set up than me wonce it was better and eating. From there I got a zebra eel, porc puff, and a tom clown. Unfortunatly my rock work wasn't stable, and the eel got crushed. Had the porc puff until it was about 7" before giving it to someone with a much larger tank. Paired up the clown before trading them for some frags. Just got back into corals about 2-3 months ago. As of now I have some softies and LPS. Fish wise all I have is 2 dart fish, YWG/Pistol Pair, Scooter blenny, and Lawnmower Blenny(who the wife named rygel from farscape). Probably went overkill with the "introduce yourself", other that that, this is the first club I've joined. Thanks for having me.
