Hi all,

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I left to to the states to attend college and grad school, and got a job in NYC. I've been living in NJ ever since (20 years!). I currently work as a Senior Buisness Analyst in a telecom company.

My husband and I have 3 kids, and a 90 gallon reef tank with a sump/refugium :). All of us enjoy it, but I make the purchases, and take care of the maintenance. We have a baby purple tang, a baby kole tang, a mystery wrasse, and a randall's goby that refuses to pair with a pistol shrimp :/. I'm still planning to add a pair of clowns, a Midas Blenny, and maybe a trio of Bartlett's Anthias.

I'm glad to finally join a club.

Welcome Laura!!

Hey everyone,

I'm Neil. I have been keeping aquariums for the past 10 years. Three years ago I got heavy into reefing. My current tank is a 20 gallon long with a 10 gallon sump. Loaded with coral and a few fish. My tank is zoa dominated but i have a few others like birdsnest, acans, montis, and frog spawn. I only run one dual t5 fixture and seems to work for me so far. I currently am a student at Rutgers perusing a degree in Biology. Most of my friends are not into reefs and would like to meet new people who are reefers like myself.

Welcome Neil! Pictures of the Zoa garden! We've got a few people that live in plainsboro! I'm not too far away in East Brunswick

Thanks for the warm welcome. Here are a few pics, forgive my tank. I have been battling hair and bubble algae for quite some time now.

welcome! no rush but if you think the forum is worth the time and effort, definitely consider signing up to become a member. You don't need to be a member to attend any of the functions/meetings but it's just a small way for everyone to chip in to keep the site up and running. Definitely check out the tale of the tank forum and consider posting some words or a pic or two of your 90g.

Welcome! nice pics. I don't have any friends who are into reefs either - the people on this forum just tolerate me is all...;)
