Hey everyone, my name is Paul, aka Lakeside Reefer, I've been in the hobby for over 20 years, have had many tanks varying from small bio cubes, basic 75 gallon tanks, a 155 bow front, a 180, and probably a few more I've forgotten about.

I currently have a Waterbox 70.2 in my office, and also have a dedicated coral system with about 450 gallons total volume between 4 tanks that are all tied together, along with a custom 36" clownfish harem anemone tank.

I also own Lakeside Reefing which I formed 2 years ago, growing and selling corals and equipment primarily online throughout the USA. I've been at shows like RAP NYC, ReefingUSA, a few other small shows, I also host the North Jersey Fall Coral Show, that's located in Midland Park NJ.

It's nice to finally be able to post on this forum, and look forward to being part of this community.

Thank you

Paul - Lakeside Reefer

Finally your here.....lol

I realized I've never put anything here!
I've been into the reef hobby for a while, and then superstorm Sandy killed my tank, and I decided to give up; I started up again in 2019. I usually have small tanks (right now, my biggest is a 13.5 Evo, but I am prepping my 40L Innovative marine)
I'm in the Rutherford area, but I guess I'll see everyone at the frag swap on Sunday!

Hi all!

My wife, Ashley, and I stopped by the NJ Reef Club booth at the NJ Frag Fest yesterday. You all seemed quite nice and I decided to make an account here. I apologize that I don’t remember the names of the folks I spoke with. It was quite the whirlwind day. I did buy a couple corals and an African Sea Biscuit starfish that seem like they’re settling in well. Some pics are below - torches, rainbow chalice, pink goni, grandis paly, pink diamond zoas, and a forest fire digi

Anyways a little about me: I grew up in NJ and had been super interested in fish tanks when I was a little kid. I use to beg my mom to take me to Adam’s Pet Safari in Chester when Adam first opened the store. But I had to give my fish away when I went to college and wasn’t able to get back into it until 20ish years later when I finally had a house. I got a 46g Tideline AIO reef tank last February at Reefco. It’s been going pretty well so far, and I’ve been fairly addicted.

Currently, I live in Martinsville and work as an analytical chemist in Rahway.

I’m excited to meet lots of new folks on here!

-Ryan

Currently residing in central NJ with hubby, 2 year old son, a labradoodle, and 6 tanks :)

Hi everyone! My name is Justin, and I’m excited to be joining the New Jersey Reefers Club! I’ve been passionate about fish and corals my whole life, and that passion has only grown stronger over the years. I currently work at First Choice Aquatics, where I get to immerse myself in the hobby every day, working with fish, corals, and other marine life.

Last night, I had the amazing opportunity to staff and attend the New Jersey First Annual Frag Fest, and I was lucky enough to win a beautiful pair of paired clownfish! It was such a memorable experience, and I’m looking forward to learning more from all of you and contributing to this incredible community of reef enthusiasts. Can’t wait to connect with everyone and share in this awesome hobby! IMG_8321.jpeg
