Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Bob, check out my post on R2R HERE , where I talk about buying a Dow membrane from Amazon, and a CFS labeled membrane shows up that has a Dow label. Unfortunately I paid Dow prices while I could have purchased a CFS membrane at half the cost. And FYI, the CFS membrane with Dow label is...
Paul, I'm curious if you've ever checked the N's and P's of your Long Island Sound Water? Part of the reason I ask is that I use to consult for environment stuff, and a number of my clients were golf courses. What was found is that turf grass is extremely efficient in removing N's and P's...
I have a White Belly Wrasse that has a bunch of AKA's......Yellow Meringue Coris, Yellow & Purple Wrasse, Lemon Meringue Wrasse, and Four Spot Wrasse. I have a crappy phone camera and don't take good tank photos, so I'll just include the Live Aquaria picture:
Jim, I'm curious as to how this turns out....so keep up informed. I have always been impressed with Melev's simple but ingenious reverse check valve to break siphon. I wonder how this new siphon breaker really works.
No, the owner/CEO of Pet Life is Joseph Braha. Looking at import info, most if not all his inventory comes in from China. Wonder if your items are still on a slow boat.
From Penn Station to Asbury Park is about 1 hr and 40-50 minutes. At your age, you're entitled to Senior ticket prices! :oo:
SeaStreak from lower Manhattan to the Highlands is about 40 minutes, but you'd then need a cab or Uber or a bicycle to get out to the Hook. Nice ride on a hot day...
Fully agree and agree with Mark, nicely stated. I believe both Mike and Kaleey will be fine. Mike appeared to be involved in the transfer back to servicing only and Kaleey is the owner's kid. So we've gone from three places in Ocean to none! Tropaquaium, Greg's place (something like...
I just got back from ACC, and they made good for me. I was told that credit only lasts 6 months. They didn't tell me that when I got the credit at the end of October. Anyway, they made good on it and I picked up a Hawkfish, Yellow Wrasse and Filefish. Their last day is this Saturday...
I just went on their site to check the actual amount of my credit....somewhere in the area of $250....AND IT SHOWS ZERO, ZILTCH, NADA, NOTHING! I'll be down there when they open.
Great choice....not only is that price unbelievable, the one thing I didn't like about the "standard" 90 I had was the 24 inch depth....you can't reach the bottom without contortions and getting wet. Now if you're into big fish....aka an Oscar...I'd go with the 90.
If you go to Hidden Reef, very close by is Fish Factory....small but I was more comfortable buying livestock from them. At the time Hidden Reef had flatworms throughout all their tanks. Also, I'm pretty sure my last salt buy was from Something Fishy in Northhampton, PA....north of Hidden Reef.
Agree....Hidden Reef sells tanks at cost thinking that they'll make up the difference when you buy all the extras. I say that not having been there for over a year. I wasn't aware of their salt prices....I use to go to Sealevel, but their prices went up. My last major salt buy was from...
Meant to say amps above and not wattage....although related.
I just checked the one MP10QD I have and it's 24 volts, 1.5 Amps. Note that the linked power supply above is 3 amps....and it's not a problem to be rated at a higher current...just don't want it to be lower.
It most definitely has value!
Unfortunately you will need to purchase the wetside from Ecotech....and the price just continues to go up....now 75-80 bucks.
The good news is that I'd recommend not buying the power supply from them...they are standard power supplies and Ecotech wants 60 clams...
