I've had a whole bunch of luck with a bottle trap....with one little modification....you cut a small hole in the side to fit the end of a turkey baster. Put the trap in your tank....actually leave the trap in your tank so the fish become use to it. Now fill the turkey baster with some delicious...
I’m assuming you’re talking about dwarf angelfish, which all come “with caution”. That said, I’ve had coral beauties, flameback, and flame angelfish with luck. That luck might be that I’ve had so much coral I didn’t notice they were munching on it.
Bob, you do know (and I'm terrible with time) maybe 5, 6, 7 years ago Marineland resourced the MaxiJet 1200 from an Italian manufacturer to some Chinese manufacturer and these "new" pumps were very poor quality. If you want an "original" MaxiJet, you have to buy a Cobalt MJ1200 from the...
I'd suggest you look at Glass Cages. I don't have direct experience with their acrylic tanks, but I did purchase a glass tank from them and I thought it was very reasonable. Oh, and I'm extremely happy with the quality of the tank.
@Mark_C , that's the one.....Petco in Brick. Thanks. I've got the QT set up and ready to go. I also have a $275 credit at ACC, which will probably only buy me a couple guppies.
I'm down to five fish, haven't purchased any in years and planning a fish run. I'm going to hit the typical LFS's but I want to include either Petco or Petsmart in Ocean or Monmouth or somewhere down south. Some of you have mentioned one of these that has a decent saltwater section and...
Wow Paul, she sure sounds like she's doing a whole bunch of "Doot Da Doo- Doot Da Doo." As a matter of fact, so much "Doot Da Doo- Doot Da Doo" that I wouldn't be a bit surprised if she also ends up with back issues. That much Doot Da Doo- Doot Da Doo can be dangerous. :oo:
I don't know the equipment you have on your tank, but when Sandy hit, my 3650 generator ran my entire tank (90 gallon DT) the kitchen refrigerator/freeze, the basement freezer, boiler to heat the house, television and a couple lights for over 7 days, running 24 hours a day.
Paul, you just gave me a rush of a déjà vu moment…..
Lobsters: Bob A. taught me the best way to catch lobsters. We were originally told to bring a prod…a stick…and use it to prod the lobster out of the holes. Bob told me to forget the prod and simply make a fist and stick it in the hole...
Too expensive for my taste! Not the cost of the tank; that's a deal and a half; it's the cost of the divorce that would wipe me out.
And I love my Glasscages tank, albeit only 90 gallons!
I like to get my hugs indoors and in smaller mom and pop stores! :oo: I'll give you one next time I see you....indoors of course.
Sorry Paul, I couldn't resist your fat finger typo.
I'm following along with this DIY in part because I'm familiar with DE (Diatomaceous Earth) because that's the filter on my pool. I take it apart every year to clean the "fingers" inside the filter:
If you zoom in on those fingers, they appear to be a woven synthetic material
And being...
This sparked my interest and actually looked up the wavelength of a "Blacklight".....part of my youth....we all had one. And I was mildly surprise....it's UV-A light. Here's the actual verbiage:
UV-A, which is also called "blacklight" or "Long Wave" UV, spans wavelengths between 320 and 400...
