Hasn’t kicked the bucket yet. Hard to tell how it’s doing now that it’s in sleep mode though. He normally sleeps at the bottom so I can’t tell if he’s just being normal or towards the end. He did seem to be doing s little better than when I first got home and found him in that condition. I think...
That was my initial thought but the more time he spends sitting alone the better he looks. I really am wondering if he was just badly bullied all of a sudden. Regardless I do plan on putting him in a QT with triple sulfa for a few days just to ensure that he doesn’t pick anything up from the...
He seems to be doing better since getting moved to my fuge where he can’t be bothered by anything. No other fish, very low flow, and I have put the light on but very dim. He went from not moving at all and barely breathing at one point to slowly cruising in and out of the field of macroalgae I...
Currently he is resting on a bed of caulerpa. Slowly forming a mucus cocoon but still has not moved. I will keep everyone updated, hopefully with good news. I am quite sure that his fate will be decided within an hour or so. If he is still kicking and perhaps even improving, I don’t think a...
I wish I had heard about this long ago. Had researched all the wrasses I liked for months and I was down to a lineatus and rhomboid. Ended up finding the lineatus for a good price, and has done great until now. If he dies I will not be buying any more wrasses. This is a complete heartbreak. One...
Moved him to my refugium for now to hopefully prevent stress in case he was being bullied. He is no longer moving, just laying upside down. But I am going to try and be hopeful I’ll come back in a few hours to see him swimming around.

I have no aggressive fish except a starry blenny and he doesn’t ever attack my established fish, just new algae eaters and he stops after a few hours. The ONLY other thing I can think of is perhaps he got pricked by my foxface and is poisoned.

Have you ever heard of anything like this happening before? I am willing to try anything to save him if you have any clue what the problem could be.

I came home today to find my wrasse swimming crazy. Upside down and sideways constantly. I am quite sure I see internal bleeding, his right fin is half missing, and his other fins seem to be disintegrating. I have no aggressive tankmates in the tank except a starry blenny but he only ever...
I don’t mind at all. My zip code is 07753, I’ll try and break off the biggest single piece I can as long as you don’t mind coming out. I’ll give you it for free but if you wanted to give something in return it would of course be appreciated :)

No, he is just trying to pick off the dead skin cells and other stuff. If the tang keeps trying to escape he is just not used to it and it’s surprising him. Usually the shrimp set up an area near a ledge to hang out and the fish come over when they want cleaning. My blenny goes to my shrimps...
White things are pineapple sponges. Harmless filter feeders. Big brown flatworm sounds like a polyclad flatworm. Hope you burned it lol

Up to 8. That’s pretty close to the final stocking and I have a good skimmer and nutrient export so I’m not concerned about that if it’s what you’re referring to [emoji4]

At this point nearly everything is moved over and I’ve been stocking it with new fish. Today’s purchases were 5 blue green chromis and my prized fish, a super male Lineatus Wrasse. I got a good deal on him and couldn’t pass him up after seeing them in person and falling in love lol.
I just...
I don’t have money for an ATO right now since I don’t have a job with the school year going on, I don’t really want to work until the summer comes around. When I get money it typically goes towards more acros and flow upgrades. My system is about 110 gallons and stocked with almost all SPS, a...
If I had an ATO I would do that but I don’t have one, I’ve been doing manual top offs with every tank I’ve ever had; just been more consistent with my reef tanks lol.
