Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I’ll add a little more rock to the center, not more than a few pounds though. The tower on the left is going to be dedicated to acros once the tank gets a little more established and I can start moving mine over. Not sure what I’ll do with the bottom or other structures just yet though.

As far as what I am using to run the tank.
SBReefLight 32 Ultra
Eshopps S-120 Skimmer
Syncra 3.0 Return Pump
Finnex 300W Hester
2 Koralia 1950GPH Powerheads
All of these are controlled by a ReefKeeper Lite Plus.
My refugium will be light by a Zetlight E-100M when I get it.
I may need some...
Figured I’ll join in the fun and share my progress on my 90. This is my second reef tank and first ever big tank. Been running for about a month and yesterday I moved over some of my easier SPS as well as some zoas and a gorgonian.
Finally wet!
Flash forward to where I am today.

Really coming alone well! Let me know when you are ready for the tang if you still want her, she is waiting for a nice big home!

Not sure if you have seen but Fiji actually just placed a ban on coral exports. Seems like it’s going to be a rough year for reefing [emoji20]

Hawaii placed the ban months ago, I believe back in September. Flame angels can be found in other locations, and LiveAquaria has a few in stock from the Christmas/Marshall Islands currently. But with all the cold and this blizzard coming tomorrow I’m not sure anyone would want to have a fish...
If the fish and every other fish in its tank at the store look perfectly healthy, 2 weeks. If anything even looks a little bit down in the tank it’s a month, and if it’s diseased I do a month after it stops showing symptoms.

Thank you! It is even nicer in person, it’s pretty hard to capture the true colors on a phone camera with really blue LEDs. The base is green and purple with white specks, tentacles are orange and the tips are pink.

My rainbow BTA split overnight and don’t really want 2, selling the smaller one that’s about 1” fully open. Will take cash or PayPal.
If you want it please just give a few days before pickup so I can make sure it’s healed all the way first

I wish I could help more but I don’t know what to say. Not like a human where you can use very hot water to break down the venom, water hot enough would just kill a fish. The removal would also probably tear it up but I don’t think it’s fair for it to live like that for however long it takes...
Ouch.. I have no clue, I’m not sure if I would pull it out but leaving it in is definitely not a good idea. What species of urchin is it?

Mine has been moving around at night a lot too the past week. It almost never moved and suddenly it moves probably a foot every night. I’ve unplugged my powerheads that are close to the rock it stays on most.

Assuming you removed the dead body, running carbon and water changes is all you can really do. How big was it?
If your fish are still alive and look healthy by this morning I’d say you are in the clear, but for future reference it’s a good idea to look into power head covers.
Sorry to hear...
That’s a good point, was just going off the assumption that since the tank is drilled the stand would allot for a sump

If you already have an overflow why not get a sump? Even a glass tank from petco works fine. Extra water volume to help with stability too!
