Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I’m not too paranoid about it, was just curious if anybody had some kind of idea. I’m still not old enough to drive and I would have to wait until my mom goes shopping again so in the meantime I figured it would be nice to help stop the manual dosing. Now I just need an idea of how fast it’ll...
Does anybody have an idea of how many times I should rinse out a container of arizona iced tea before it’s safe to use on my tank? I made a simple siphon powered kalk dripper out of it to keep under my sump in order to keep up with my calcium/alkalinity demands with the most stability I can come...
60 cube is 24” all around right? I think a leopard wrasse would be cool in there if you plan on adding a fine sandbed [emoji4]

I think it depends on which way the beams under the floor are going and how old the house is. A newer one should be able to handle more weight than one built in the 60s.

Agree 12 is very high, in fact higher than I’ve ever seen for an SPS tank. Most SPS tanks have low nutrient levels and with that you want a lower alk level, I find most people run their SPS dominant systems at 7.7-8.5 depending on a few other factors.

I added in this bicolor foxface saturday night, I’m absolutely in love with its looks and personality. I’m going to assume it’s a her since she is nice and chunky looking and female fish usually tend to be bigger. But maybe it’s a he that just loves to eat lol! I’d love some name suggestions for...
I’ll be that guy and start by saying prevention is the best treatment. QTing new fish, especially those that stress easily and/or are prone to ich is really important, but you should quarantine all new fish, even if it’s just for two weeks. Beyond that you should make sure all your fish have...
Is this your first saltwater tank? If it is I would put in 1 or 2 easy fish you like first for a month or two and then go ahead and add some easy corals you like. Some of my favorite corals to put in early are zoas, leathers and montipora. Good luck :)

I agree the anampses wrasses are amazing and I’ve seen a few in person. But unless I steal one I don’t think I’ll be able to get one on my high school budget. I’m willing to spend a lot of money on this hobby because it’s something i’m passionate about but those are too much for me right now LOL...
I want a single fish that when you walk by is the first one to draw your attention. A fish that is bigger, has a unique body shape or a very flashy color. I would love something like a purple or even yellow eye kole but I think a four foot tank isn’t fair to them, or any tang for that matter...
Do you think a foxface is okay in that size tank? I assumed their activity was similar to tangs so I crossed it off my list.

Hi everyone, I recently set up another tank and am looking for a centerpiece fish. It is a 4 foot tank and my rockwork is kept to a minimum so that there is a lot of room for my fish to swim and the coral to grow. If you have any suggestions for a fish please let me know. Here are my criteria.

It really depends on a lot of things. If you have a medium-high nutrient system, Red Sea coral pro might be great for you. But if you have a ULNS, the high alk will not be something you want. What you should look for when deciding on a salt is the consistency of the parameters when mixed and how...
