Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Its going to be a few more days before I can pull it, clean it and get a photo. My new skimmer arrived yesterday with an extra piece. Gotta wait for a new base to get shipped to me. Hopefully it survives the journey this time! :)
I jumped up from a 120 to 315 gallon tank this summer and have finally gotten around to getting a larger skimmer and am putting my Warner MF201 skimmer up for sale. I purchased it in August 2012. This skimmer did a great job on my 120 but is too small for my current system. Its rated up to 250...
Keep an eye on reef central and reef2reef. Groupbuys pop up on there from time to time. The only bad part is that it can take one or two months from the time they close until you get your pumps. They do tend to be significantly cheaper though.
I havent seen it at the hidden reef before but I have bought it from champion lighting and premium aquatics. Champion is a little cheaper but if you spend 175 premium gives you free shipping. Im not sure if champio offers that. Ive picked it up from them in the past.
For the swap only:
-15 for nonmember
-20 nonmember with joing the club
-25 nonmember and family with joing the club
You dont have to pay to enter the aquarium just to attend the swap. If yoy want to tour the aquariun it is an additional 18 per adult and 14.50 per kid.
For the swap or the aquarium? I took a look over on the DVRC page and couldn't find any info on the swap but I posed the question. I'll let you know what I find out. The Aquarium discounted rate is 18 for adults and 14.50 for kids.
Thanks Dan
By any chance are you going to the swap on Saturday and could you bring some with you? I'm going to be there early on Saturday helping to set up and will probably stick around until noon.
Is anyone getting ready to trim back there cheato in SJ? I gave all of mine away when I set up my new tank and am just getting around to setting up a new fuge.
Thanks
Mike
It is kind of nerve racking the first time you do it. I noticed some of my corals looking a little pale but haven't lost anything as a result of it, knock on wood. I'm sure it confuses the fish a bit. My fingers are crossed that you've gotten them under control.
I've been using IO since I set up the big tank. I was expecting for it to have much higher alkalinity and lower calcium but your numbers are consistent with what I've seen. My calcium was a little higher. I was thinking about going back to ESV eventually but I don't see any reason to at this...
Thanks I was also thinking about the SRO 5000 or 6000. It is looking like I will end up buying the skimmer that was on this system off of Steve, an ATB 10.5.
