Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Do you have an idea of when you might be there? The guy from DelVal that I am trying to buy a frag off of is going to be there from 12-2. If that meshes with your schedule that would be great, if not it isn't a big deal.
Would any of you fellow SJ members be willing to grab a frag or two for me at the swap if I pay the person ahead of time? Unfortunately I cant make the trip.
I you are thinking about a jebao DC pump, do soE digging around on them first. Not there is something necessarily something wrong with them but they just told a group buy manager for a buy that I'm participating in that they are in the process up upgrading the boards on the dc12000. Don't know...
The wrasse collection is really coming along nicely! Do you have multiple female flames? If so are you worried about them all turning male? I lost a male a few months ago and having debating whether to get a few females or just one.
I'd would be fine for that. It would end up getting gunked up in a few months anyway.:) I just looked and I have the four pieces of glass that I used for the baffles.
If you want it let me know what spa frags you have available. I'm sure we can work something out.
Ya I cut off a little bit of the plastic so that I could get a holder on there for the dosing pump tubing. There wasn't a cross brace on it. I used a bunch of silicone to set the baffles. I didn't make too much of an effort to clean it up when in removed them but a razor blade would remove...
If you figure out that a 40 gallon breeder will work for your new setup, I still have the one that my wife tried to give you. Id trade in for some sps. I still have the glass from when it was my sump. A little silicone and you would be good to go.
What size sump was on the tank originally?
What size tank is your current skimmer rated up to? I think you'll eventually want something with an 8 inch body.
Congratulations on the upgrade! As as the sump goes, a 40 might work but figure out how much water will backflow into your sump if the return pump shuts off. Are you building a stand? The available space inside the stand will also come into play. If you need to jump up to a 55 the height...
I just switched over to using an apex to run my calcium reactor and am selling a Reef Fanatic pH controller. Its just over a year old and in good working condition. A pH probe is not included. They typically run about $40 to $50. Asking $50. Thanks
Mike
No never bothered to look. I'm embarrassed to say, but I'd be hard pressed to name a majority of the pieces in my tank. The names go in one ear and out the other lol.
At some point when my tank settles down, I need to pay you a visit and help fund that 200DD. ;) If you find one and need...
Its been a while since I've done an update so here it goes. Back in September the dreaded dinos made an appearance in my tank. I did a 4 day lights out period and dosed peroxide. They disappeared for several weeks although some cyano stuck around. Then the little stringy bubbles appeared...
I think the only difference is the longevity and the response time. The pH isn't going to swing much in your tank so response time doesn't really matter much. It then just really boils down to whether you want to spend some more money up front for a probe that is supposed to last longer. I...
