I’m selling a Reef Angle Plus controller including a number of accessories. Included is a wifi module, 2 relay boxes (one with an analog output and a second with a PWM output), relay expansion hub, regular expansion hub, water level expansion, older style dual head dosing pump, 3 temps probes...
I have a reef angel and an apex and they are both very good controllers. What are you looking to controll with it? Do you need remote access, wifi, ethernet? The reef angel is cheaper than the apex but is a little more complicated to program although it has gotten a lot simpler. If you dont...
That is a strong possibility. My nitrates and phosphate have been reading 0 with little cheato growth. I took my biopellets offline a few weeks ago and in an attempt squash the dinos in my tank stopped water changes about two weeks ago. I'm going to test my phosphate and nitrate this weekend...
I started using it about two weeks ago. I didn't notice much of a difference the first week but I just came home from being out of town for a few days and noticed an increase in color on a few pieces that have been washed out for a while.
My skimmer had been randomly overflowing this past week. Thankfully I have a float switch that shuts it off when the skimmate container is filled. I finally pulled it yesterday and discovered a tiny snail blocking one of the intake tubes in the air silencer. Its amazing where they can...
They generally require different flow rates so it it best to keep them in separate reactors. Carbon is run at a higher flow rate. You want gfo to just gently tumble.
Reef Flakes seem to go a long way. I put 90# in my 315 and I thought it was too much. I ended up pulling out about half of a 5 gallon bucket a few weeks ago and may take out some more.

The litermeter setups are really great especially if you don't have a sink near your tank to siphon water to. It was probably one of the best purchases that Ive made.

Borbonius are definitely cool fish. Anthias are almost as addictive as wrasses. It seem like a lot of the more interesting ones are deep water and require lower temps to happy. Are the borbonius bold or on the shy side? I've thought about adding one or two eventually.
You can get flex PVC at any pool store. Lowes even carries some sizes although it can be much cheaper to order it online. Ill try to dig up the name of the place that I ordered it from this summer.

I have a 32 gallon brute container filled with saltwater. My litermeter system pumps water out of my system 12 times a day to a drain and replaces it with equal amounts of fresh saltwater. No buckets, no fuss. About every 10 days I make up a fresh batch of saltwater.

Do you have space allocated to store fresh salwater? At 400 gallons your water changes are going to be sizeable. Im using a brute can to store my fresh saltwater.
I was was keeping my eyes open for a used 300DD for a while before I bought spotter's tank. For the most part the used deals out there weren't much cheaper than what you could get them for new a few times a year when marineland seems to run specials on them. Tropaquarium of course is...
