Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Definitely hold off until there is enough variation consistent in the tank for them to graze on. Mine grazes all day. A variety of nori sheets will help too.
Get yourself the powder brown!
I have a 110 gallon, powder brown and hippo tang went in about 2 years ago as babies, carefully introduced a baby scopas tang around a year ago, 10 other fish in there. The powder brown is the boss of the tank and the nicest fish in there. Does not start a single...
I also have a good amount of dry rock and rubble that you can come pick through - would be happy to get some landscaping advice if you come by to pick it up. West Milford area.
In regards to the power outage issue - I live in an area that gets brownouts due to weather every once in awhile - just a blip for a second or 2 - so I use a battery back up tower designed for computers for things that I don't want it to be effected by. Saves me the time and hassle of resetting...
How is the rest of your CUC? I've stocked mine twice, not heavily at all for the size of my tank, or at least compared to what the sellers suggest - but 75% of them have been picked off by my melanurus, or at least I believe he's the main culprit. Do you find that to be the case with yours?
I'm not certain, but one theory I have is that they need a very calm almost dead flow area of the tank to reside in when they want to rest. I have a small section of my tank that large rocks block 90% of flow, which is where you can always find him if he is not cruising around the tank. I like...
I introduced mixed blends of pods into my tank 2 or 3 times after my cycle was complete (early 2021), a 4th time into my refugium before I added a melanurus wrasse and mandarin to the tank. The wrasse aggressively goes after them all day, the mandarin floats around all day picking as he pleases...

Not sure where you are located but you can borrow this chiller I have for as long as you need, or you can trade me something small for it and keep it. I am in Northern NJ, West Milford NJ .. or I can bring it to work on Monday down by the tappan zee bridge .. it was used on a FOWLR tank that was...
I've been using 3 of these same ball valves for over a year now and haven't had a single problem. I'm not even getting salt creep around them. Still just as easy to turn now as they day I installed them. :eagerness:
I have over 100 LB's of Reef Saver Aquarium Dry Live Rock - MarcoRocks left over that I would like to trade for corals, fish or equipment - they are still in the box I received them in and don't need the same value if you are interested.
Hey Amado,
I have this sump new in box if you are interested - not at the new in box price! We could do trades for it if you want or just lmk what you want to spend.
