Somebody gave me a 29G Oceanic Biocube. Before I spend a couple hundred bucks on a stand and other stuff to set it up, does anybody have any experience to share with these tanks? I haven't used a wet/dry filter since 2000!

Back in the old days of the club, there was a guy (Russian? Truck driver?) who had them breeding like crazy in his tank. He once brought a bucket with maybe a dozen to a meeting and gave them out. They're good algae-eaters.

I've had a majestic for some time, more than a year. He's never eaten SPS in any significant way, or my closed brain, but he did destroy a chalice when I first got him. A good fish, and fairly tough.

All my parameters are now in very good shape: Phospates, Ca, Alk, Mag, pH, Salinity. So why won't my corals get their color back (the new ones look OK)? I think I'm going to shorten my photoperiod by a half hour.

Thanks. What really got me going was the desire to do the gobies-and-pistol shrimp thing, as well as certain other things that would get lost in the big tank, jawfish maybe, garden eels, odd stuff. I've found that small stuff in a 200G tank just disappears, you have to hunt to find it.
