Never again!
When I had the floor/carpet done, I had them put tile out 48" from the wall even though the tank was only 24" deep, so the 36" depth of the new tank should be no problem. Don't ya just love when things work out. :D

Well DB was totally useless and their customer service leaves something to be desired.
In short, they told me to buy a Perfecto top trim piece.
With the cracked frame and the scratched front glass (and I don't even have sand in my tank!!!), I think I'll be shopping for a new tank.

AGA replace the top trim on my 40B one time (well they sent me a new one and I had to install it).
I've done it before and I have the tools to replace the trim. It's going to be a matter of, is DB paying for it or am I going to pay for the brace. I have to email them and see what they say...
There should be no flow restrictor between the two membranes. The waste out from the first should go right into the input of the second.

The reason I asked about the washing machine is because, a washing machine has all you need for a RO unit, A) a source of water and B) a drain for the waste water.
Are you looking to capture some or all of the waste water?

IMO 55's make terrible reef tanks. Fresh water fine, QT sure, reef tank No. No depth to them and little room for aquascaping. By the time you add a rock wall and corals, the fish have no place to swim because the corals are touching the front of the glass. Just my thoughts.

Was working on the 120 tonight. I got two new mesh socks from BRS, so I popped them in the sump and went to town scrubbing the dead hair algae off the rocks and the overflows.
Let that filter out for a while and decided to clean the detritus from the sump and found this:
Yet another...
The bulkheads that come with the tank are 1" slip on the wet side and barbed on the dry side for flex hoses.
They are junk and I bought slip/slip bulkheads for my tank.

You should test it as soon as you get home.
You can come buy water from me. LoL
I always have 30 gallons of both RO and Saltwater on hand at all times. :D

Nothing beats having your own RO/DI. I tried the store bought water route when I first started and it was just too much of a pain lugging the water around. Plus I get the added benefit of filtered water for drinking.
