If you could pop the trim off without damaging the wall, then you could but a few screws into the subfloor through the will plate. Also be careful not to break the trim piece as well.
There's a reason they use aluminum and not other metals. The aluminum will not corrode like other metals. It will accumulate some but not as much and not as fast.
I have had my tanks on it for 4 years. I clean up any spills ASAP, just remember the quality stuff cost more but it holds up better. Laminate flooring is not made for bathrooms either. The foam is so thin the weight of the tank will flatten it out and it will not be a problem.
I believe it, they call the coast the Golden coast because of the Yellows. I remember when Achilles were the same price as yellows and then the price skyrocketed.
I have been there several times and every time the floor was covered in water. I haven't been for awhile but I remember the floor looked like it was starting to warp.
