I also have a power strip somewhat under my HOB. What I did was take some old cardboard and wedge it between my tank and the wall so it protects from minor drips. I have had a drip or two while doing maintenance, but have not had a problem. Fire is always a worry in this hobby.

I would definitely have flow going while you cycle your tank. Doesn't have to be a ton, but it needs some movement.

Yeah Salinity is too high. Should be about 1.025 or 35ppt which is about natural sea water. Not sure if that's the cause, but a place to start.

From the picture it is hard to see the snowflake in these other than there is a little less orange on the bottom from pictures I saw of standard black photons. I'm still tempted and live close to pick these up, but still wavering. Any other reefers have opinions on this pair?

Yeah I heard they sold out. I got mine from TBAquatics about a couple days after they came out. The shipping is always quick since TB is in NJ.

With the amount of fish with such crazy color patterns I wouldn't be surprised if there was a smurf clown fish out there somewhere.
