Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Central I tried out what you suggested and it is going pretty well. Some of my corals are still not opening up fully while others are thriving. I guess I need to look more closely at my water parameters.
trio91, I like mine a lot. The controller is much easier to operate than the old Maxspect...
So I originally had a Maxspect 130 gyre and I loved it, but it had wiring issues and it broke. Since then I was just using my old Koralia 3's and my corals weren't nearly as happy. I eventually bought this IceCap gyre and it was much larger and powerful than the Maxspect. I am having a heck of a...
Hey Paul, if you don't mind me asking could you talk a little more about the procedure. I was under the impression some form of chemo had to be done to kill off some stuff before they reintroduced healthy stem cells. What did they say about the results they had seen from past procedures.
That rock on the right is really interesting looking with all the "knobs" on it. Do you plan on adding more rocks or going with this? I like the caves on the left side.
I hope your wife responds extremely well to her treatment. Please keep us updated. With the advancement in stem cell research and FDA approvals of new drugs like Ocrevus I have no doubt that major advancements and a potential cure is in the future.
I also hope your tank gets back to normal in...
Can't tell exactly from this last picture because the tank looks slanted, but make sure to have the fuge level. I used an app on my phone to check mine.
About the same thing happened to me. A couple years back I flooded my 5g jug in the kitchen. I finally saw it and cleaned it all up. A day later maintenance came and asked about leaking. The water leaked through the floor into one of those big old fluorescent light units that they put in...
Thanks for posting that picture. Did you put egg crate or something by your intake? It appears yours goes much higher than mine does, which is the large size. I would like to divide that section off.
You are gonna like the CPR HOB Fuge. I also hate that brace on the top of the tank, especially when doing tank maintenance, but it is helpful for holding my Eheim auto feeder.
When I got mine I didn't get the light with it. I figured I would just get a clip on light from a hardware store. I haven't gotten one yet and kinda regret not getting the LED that comes with it, but at the time I was strapped for cash.
I wasn't intending on knocking your skills, it is obvious from the look of the lamps that they are incredibly well made. Just providing feedback without knowing plans you already have.
I think they are extremely cool. My dream is to have a Speakeasy type bar/man cave one day. These types of lights would look really cool in it.
I guess one concern people might have would be the safety of using the light since it's a one of a kind and not tested in a lab. I'd be nervous I would...
The CPR includes a Rio pump that hangs over into the display tank much like a HOB Skimmer does. It hangs near the top so it doesn't hinder the display much. The return part just flows out of a spout at about the water line. As long as you keep your water level right it makes virtually no sound...
I just got the CPR Aquafuge2 HOB in the Large size. I got it mainly for a little extra water volume for my 46g and to provide a safe haven for copepods. It is very nicely built and would be great for planting mangroves if you have a enough room to hang a light above it. I thought about the...
