I just started my tank with dry brs pukani a few months ago and love it. It is very light. I ordered about 90# for my 120 gallon tank. I ended up only putting about 70 to 80# in my tank and could have done less. The rock is nice and narly and easy to work with. The only knock on it that you...
After looking at the pictures that George posted it appears that i have the pin wheel impeler. I'm not sure where you are located but if you are near sj and want to try one in your pump to see if it works you are more that welcome to stop by. I can pull my impemler out of my Skimmer for you to...
It may just be a function of when we bought them. I just picked up mine in November. At the time i thought they came with mesh wheels and was expecting a spare. I was surprised it was a needle wheel.
The place that carries the needle wheel replacement says the mesh wheel is no longer...
I've only had mine apart once but I could have sworn it was a needle wheel. Maybe I'm having a senior moment at 40 lol. I'm due for a cleaning so ill report back what I have. I'm not sure if I am allowed to post commercial links but there is a store in CA that sells a needle wheel for that...
Hmmm I think my nac7 has a needle wheel impeler not the mesh wheel. I should probably double check in case I need to get a spare. You can get a needle wheel impelled for that motor if it goes.
I've been running mine for 3 months and so far no issues. I am concerned that it might be...
We were just the guinea pigs for getting the Apollos and the Reef Angel to play nice together. Reef Angels owner modified one of his relay boxes last weekend and sent it off to Apollo this week to try it out. Everything worked fine. Reef Angel offered to modify ours but I needed another one...
I'm running a BM NAC7 on my 120 and it seems to do a pretty good job. I got it on sale a few months ago fornabout $200. It might be obvious but don't forget to look at how much water the skimmer needs to be run in and what your water level in your sump is.
Well one thing I will say for both Apollo and Reef Angel is that their responsiveness is great. We were both getting emails in the middle of the night last night as they tried to troubleshoot the probelm.
