Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Gotta watch with the bumbles. They bounce.
But seriously (not that anyone got that)...
They are carnivores and they do like to eat other snails on occasion, some may eat other snails over any other food.
Ask me how I know.
Intrigued and have been looking at a lot of the vids for the outdoor method.
I think some people are confused as many of the 'massive pod growth' vids actually appear to be mosquito larva.
RC has been hit or miss the past few years and their stock is inconsistant.
Saying that, they have great prices, will honor any DOA with a refund or credit, and usually throw a few extras in the bags.
If anyone down the Shore area (I'm in Brick) wants to do a group buy, maybe we can start up a...
I hear ya. I hate doing business on any of these sites anymore. Low bids, scamming, and no shows abound.
To help out I've decided I'll buy the tank off of you, but first I need to verify that you aren't going to scam me. I need you to send me your social security, bank account, address, and...
The spectrum is increased (I went with the Blue) and the micro-details that are showing in the corals are impressive.
I also currently have a single light center mounted ver a 36" tank while awaiting the delivery of the second. The spread is crazy, I was planning to move some sticks to the...
I sent in my G3 for repair.
It was unrepairable.
Ecotech contacted me offering an upgrade to a G6 for $299 and, as my diffuser wouldn't work with the 6, they'd throw in a free diffuser as well.
I accepted and also asked about a refundable purchase of $80 I made moons ago and they honored it, so...
If you drill out the top of the downpipe you can accomodate whatever size tube (it doesn't have to be rigid, it can be normal airline).
If you then take a piece of this and insert it through the hole and down into the water flow (to the sump) it should help stop the gurgling.
You can actually...
We've had a few 'overshoots' the past few weeks, which isn't fair to our paid sponsors.
Anything up at the moment will be left standing, but please review and follow the selling rules...

Got a load of rock you're welcome to. Some may need some cleaning and curing. Probably 12-15 pounds or so. Will get a pic tomorrow if you're interested.
All depends on how complex you want to get.
I used to have, and sometimes build, multichamber sumps.
One chamber for intake, one for a fuge, one for dosing and heaters, one for return, blah, blah, blah
Now I just use an unchambered tank.
Downtube into a filter sock in holder on on side of tank...
We have all the dampeners shut upstairs and it still doesn't put out enough to cool the lower level.
Yeah, we had a guy come in last year and he told us that the house is pretty big for the central unit we have, plus he told us we don't have enough ducts to adequately cover the lower level...
Here's the scoop: Our home has central air but it's terrible (bad ducting). It says cold upstairs but to keep the downstairs almost reasonable I have to run the thing 24/7 and the $400+ electric bills can't continue this year.
Lining up 2 options:
1. Portable Unit to supplement the central...
Just checked on mine. 4 days on the deck, dumped in freshwater when I removed the rock and left in it for a few hours, and they’ve been frozen twice in the open air.
Id bet $10 that if i throw them in a 5g bucket of ketchup they’d revive.
I just ripped my centerpiece rock out because of them.
It's been on the back deck since Saturday.
I'm sure if anyone puts it back in their tank they'll revive and conquer.
