Sorry I have to disagree we are using the Hawiian Black sand and you don't see anything in the sand it hides any algae. There has been no issues with the corals with absorption in fact I think all my corals in the sand are extremely happy. MHO
Is he aggressive at feed time? Does he go to the top to take the food? If he does how I caught a lot of my fish is I take my bowl I use to thaw out my food. And my guys know my bowl, put it right in the water and they will swim right in.
Thanks the female is over 4" the male is a little smaller. It's funny between the clowns and domino's how the parents care for the eggs. The female domino tends to the eggs the male doesn't go near them. Both clowns tend to their eggs together.
We run the kent float valves in all of our sumps for auto top offs and our brute can for water changes all the lines are t'ed off from the main line straight from the RODI and we have never had an issue with them.

My Domino Damsels layed eggs tonight and we also have clownfish eggs too ;D It was cool watching the male fertilize the eggs. As soon as they get a little size to them I'll take pics. This is cool they layed them on one of the rocks right in front
