    Dumping Hydra for radion

But it does offer an opinion and an option perhaps Mickey didn't consider. I had 3 hydras in a T5 hybrid fixture (the one you bought from me, oddly enough). When I turned off the Hydras and just ran the T5s I found the Hydra's to actually be washing out the T5s. So, I went out and went full T5...

    Shot in the dark here

If its going under cover and you dont care about looks go to home Depot or Lowes and look at the blue or black kitchen recycling bins, then cut it down to fit under your cabinet. Get one of the $20 thick sided ones, they retain their shape when filled. The thinner 'smooth sided' ones buckle...

    Dumping Hydra for radion

The new(ish) Kessil AP series is a great looking unit with fantastic lighting and spread. DangerDave could probably give you a review, he has something like 34 of them.

    Halloween hermit.

Picked one up, loved it, made excuses for it, removed it. Of all the murdering habits of hermits, these guys are pretty bad. They start with the snails, move up to smaller crabs, and take shots at passing fish. But they do look dope.

The burden of the nano tank

Decided to go through the tedium of a full monthly tank overhaul today. Total power down. 5g water change. Refilled ATO reservoir. Replaced filter material. Full scrapedown of glass. Full clearing of salt creep and general cleaning of all surface component parts. Corrected some structural probs...

Guy likes his cage, already came down from roof and seems to have 2 basking spots and a few hang out spots. Was puling his food today and he saw a hornworm in my hand. Moved in slow and held there, he had one eye on my face and one on my hand. At 8" away he took the shot and took the worm out...

He’s a 3 month old Ambilobe Panther Chameleon. Picked him up from a breeder - Chi Chameleons in Illinois. Excellent experience and Shawn, the breeder, is fantastic. He was $300 shipped which is a great deal, 30 day health guarantee. Heis parents are both YBBB (yellow blue/black bar body) so...

    Cleaner Shrimp

Agree with Amado. Have 2 bloods, they keep their own areas. Seems price for them and skunks are now $40 or so nowadays. If they're under $10 they're probably camels - uninteresting and not very efficient.

    Bubble algae and peroxide dip

Never had problems with Emeralds and they are always part of my CUC. Currently have 2 in my 30g, no worries. The bad rep they get seems to be due to the fact that a lot of shops sell Gorilla Crabs as Emeralds. Emeralds eat algae (and love bubble algae). Gorrilas eat corals. They look very...

Can anyone tell me what type algae this is?

Drop me a line if you want him. It'll have to be a week or so out though, I'm nut with work and crazy hours atm.

Can anyone tell me what type algae this is?

Have a conch, 2 camel shrimp, one blood cleaner shrimp, one Emerald, 15 mixed snails, and 4 hermits in a 32g. The only killers are the hermits, the crab is happy to munch on algae and grab food on the sand. My urchin is great at cleaning rocks, though I find myself in agreement with Matt now...

    Super Pet Expo

Might be there myself with my new chameleon addiction. They're much easier than a reef tank, just maintain a specific humidity during the day and a different one at night, run a separate misting system, pop in a HO T5 system with specific bulbs for color and UV, keep live plants with various...
