I've read that calk can be used to cull back fast growing palys, either with a paste, or by injecting them. Where does one get a syringe to do this? or when smothering, how do you mix/apply it? I wanted to start adding calk to my top ff water anyway and figured I'd use it to thin the play...

You were all completely right. I decided to try it, and I returned the bangai's after just a few days. My clown and the pseudochromis still get along fine, but I am bummed I can't add more fish than just these two. At least I got a few good photos of the cardinals while I had them. Lesson...

Yes. It was the size of a ping pong ball. I broke it off a few months ago (had a consistency like hard cheese) and it has grown back.

Tank rocks started out all purple, Ed hooked me up with some nice ones out of his tank. I had a few problems along the way including a tank crash from overheating, so I'm probably paying the price from that and a few mistakes along the way. I just tested po4 and got .05 prior to my water change...

I presently have almost no coralline which is part of the appeal to buying new rock.
