If this is the 16 inch version, for a 40 breeder you are going to need to hang it high for good spread. In the ballpark of 12 - 15 inches

Hey Guys,
The title pretty much explains it, I am looking to do a Euphyllia dominated tank. Please let me know if you have any frags of torch, hammer, or frogspawn.
Thanks Joe
Hey Guys,
I currently have no protection from a heater failure, and am looking for an inexpensive solution until I drop the cash on a controller. Will this controller work, does it have everything I need to get it setup...
Yes GFO can deplete that fast in high phosphate levels, however since your phosphate level is twice as high after the GFO I would suspect a bad test kit.
I have some coral cluttering up my sand bed that I want to clear out. All of the following pieces are free, but would not turn down a frag in trade.
5 - 6 heads of ivory candy cane
Kenya tree
15 - 20 head acan - purple and red - does not like my tank and will not expand
pulsing...
Is it safe to frag a leather in the tank? I have a leather coral that needs to be trimmed but is attached to a very large rock. If so, what is the easiest way, scissors, razor blade, etc.
Thanks, Joe
If all else fails, bang it on something while it is plugged in. Sounds crazy but I gotten multiple pumps to start back up this way lol

10 is not considered high, you are safe up until a around 13. I see the best health around 8... Its the swings that are hurting them, not the 10 dkh.

Calcium swings do not affect coral nearly as much as alk swings. I would bump your calcium up over the next few days. I would def stop dosing alk until you figure out your consumption. Chasing the level with dosing changes is only going to do harm. At least you know your mag is not the issue...
The difference from 0.00 and 0.03 phosphate does not matter, all these testers have a margin of error. Either level is fine.
Also, with a calcium level so low your corals are not going to consume cal/alk as fast as they would with optimum levels. So keep this in mind because your daily...
