I would not try to cut a brain coral it will not survive. If given time to fully recover it will grow back over those sections. Try to keep the nitrates/phosphates low to limit the algae. Good luck!

Corals add very little biological load to the tank. You would probably be safe to move the soft corals over without cycling. However, if would be recommended that you use some sand or rock from your main tank. The tank will not be healthy long without some live rock to support the...
Hello everyone,
I have a 30 gallon long (36 x 12) and black pine stand for trade. Both in great shape. Would like to trade for some colorful zoas or LPS.
Thanks, Joe
Hello everyone,
My T5 bulbs are due to be changed which will be 100$. I am seeing all this talk about the 55 x 3 ebay light. I have a few questions, would one cover a 40 breeder and how is the color?
Is there anyone local to palmyra nj that wouldn't mind letting me see one of these in...
MadReefer what size tank do you have? The reason I am asking is because 4ml is really low for vinegar, and probably wont get you to zero. I am currently dosing 18ml on a 40 breeder and I am almost maintaining 0.
I am looking to restock my reef tank after a friends tank crashed when he was holding all my coral. I am looking for anything from frags to colonies. I prefer to buy off local reefers to keep this hobby strong. Looking forward to hearing from you!!
I started with sugar dosing but I noticed some adverse affects on LPS, I also confirmed that with other internet sources. I now am dosing vinegar and seeing good results. I use it more for phosphates than nitrates. I am seeing some slight cyno algae tho.
I was thinking about it, it is encouraging to see the tanks growth. The tank is a 40 breeder. I think it has the perfect dimensions for a smallish tank.
