I get my fish from 2 places :
- Dr. Jim. He QT all fish prior to sale. I just was their and he said he might no longer for ORA fish as he has never had one come in with issues.
- In north NJ , Diamonds of the Reef, he qt's all fish as well.He is on MR. I just looked and the latest post says...
It has something to do with the current or voltage. I think the gfci works by monitoring the sudden increase/decrease and the lights pulls enough to make it trip. I'm trying to find the post on another site which explained the problem.
I had a small population of flat worms and I treated it with fwe and then introduced a Malanarous(sp) wrasse into the tank. I've never seen one again. The wrasse is alway searching for food in the rocks and are reported to eat flatworms.
Your mileage may vary. Good luck.
I tried to use the ext plug type gfci and when my lights would go on it would trip the gfci. Seems to be a common problem when I was researching it online. So just keep your receipt in case you have to return it.
You can get one of those watt meters to check from the outlet side or even better a camp meter to take reading right the circuit breaker box. That would they you which circuits are pulling what amperage. Then you can see what is drawing the most power.
I've even automated the top of for the top off, all I do now is the water change and clean the skimmer cup. On my 45 gal, my water changes take about 20 mins. Let me know if you need details and I can write them up, as my tank thread was lost and I haven't had the motivation to recreated it...
Bax,
I'm using esv and I like it. It mixes clear and use is almost as fast as the dry components can dissolve.
Switching and getting use to the 4 parts isn't that bad. I use a scale to measure everything. I mix to a higher salinity and the add ro water to bring the salinity to the correct...
Haha. Good observation. It basically something to do with your hands and when you are diving with real coral prevent from accidentally touching something. At some place there are firecoral which will give you a pretty nasty sting if you brush against it.
Yup that is me. If anyone is going to do this go for it. It was great. Another tip is I gave my girls glow sticks, it really helped find them in the crowds.
As posted in my other thread, I've posted up my video of my dive in Epcots tank. The whole thing was quite an experience. 230 ft of visibility, no waves, 72 degree water, gear all set up and ready to go, lockers and 40 mins swimming with thousands of marine life. FYI - all the coral are...
yeah the smaller ones are really good as well. When I got back, I saw a bunch of the smaller honda ones sitting on top of the transformer boxes on the power line poles, not sure what they were running. Maybe the fios lines...
There is a feature where you can chain them together to get more...
Honda's are not cheep probably 3x's the cost of a comp one from HD, but I read they are considered some of the best. I ordered the 6500 which runs at 59 dbs. The quietest out there from my research. Home depot does not sell Hondas, I ordered mine from http://www.powerequipmentdirect.com. They...
Yes, I do count my blessings. I was just lucky to be able to get my hands in a generator and a retired Dad who always looks for something to do around my house. Btw, home depot in Watchung has at least 10 generators for sale today. I saw at least 3 people returning ones as well.
If you need...
It might set you back a few weeks on the home purchase, but the AI SOLs are great. I went from the generic LED which are good to the AI SOL, the main reason was the fan noise on the generic LEDs was much to loud for my living room which my 45 cube is in. The AI's are expandable, which will...
I'm truly sorry to hear about peoples losses this past weekend. My family and I just got out Saturday morning before Irene hit to go to Disney for a week. Needless to say I was nervous about a power outage as those of you who remember from a previous post, my home gets blackout pretty...
I was at homedepot in springfield this morning and there were about 75 people waiting in line for a shipment of generators. I was just there to buy rope to tie things down. The cashier was funny, she said they already sold about 200 generators and thank goodness, she isn't working on Monday...
Yes, I didn't mean to fix anything, but just to make sure what we are guessing is truly the case. If anything to "make" it safe by getting the correct fuse in there and removing thing which will over load the fuse.
to the OP remember fuses are there for protection, if the correct size fuse...
I do agree that this is a fire waiting to happen. I would suspect that the 30 amp was put in because a 10 or 20amp was blowing all the time so someone say lets just put in a 30. Problem solved. Well, for reason stated the wires are at most able to handle 20 amps.
FYI, I've had more success...
