note:
i use guesstimate to do my recharge...
the user guide shows how many liter % of each chemecal vs water, and how long it should run...etc.
but in some place, for example, it said something like: "...rinse for 25 - 35 mins until pH is normal..." (and did not mention flow rate, nor what...
for my Cati-Ani Unit 5 (Rated for 6000g on GH=1), each regeneration will have about 30 gals of "waste" water.
the waste water output from both Cati & Ani's output need to be mixed together, so they would be neutralized.
according to Bruce - "...the manufacture said, that so called waste water...
for regeneration if rush can do it under 2 hours.
i normally let it sit a bit longer/slower drip, and then leave it there for a hour or so, then come back to do the flushing for about 20 mins...
yes, that is correct! and i am now a happy customer.
by the way, it is about time for me to recharge the unit, may be this coming Sunday Oct 4th. (you can tell by looking at the media inside the unit, and/or by using a TDS meter to check the output, no guessing required.)
Dave, if you are...
using Cati-Ani
pros:
- save water (no waste)
- make clean water fast! output rate 12 gals per hour
cons:
- you need to deal with chemicals (muriatic acid and Sodium Hydroxide - Food Grade), need to wear protection gear (for eye and hand), not really a big deal, but with small children around...
thanks for all the ideas, and thx for the offer, and a small hook will work - as you can see he got a very small mouth? i will see what i can do...
thx
